Dream woke up slowly, his neck aching from being uncomfortable propped against one of the beanbags Skeppy had thrown at him the night before to sleep on.
He glanced around, spotting Sapnap, who was still asleep on the couch. He was tempted to wake him up just to be a little mean, but decided against it as an afterthought.
Karl and George were already in the kitchen. Dream wasn't entirely sure what had been going on with them the day prior, but they seems okay now, so he figured it'd be okay to join them.
"Morning," he said groggily.
"Morning," George responds, clearly much more awake. "Did you just wake up?"
Dream just moves to stand beside George, giving him a tired half-hug. "No," he yawns. "I've been awake for hours, I just decided to lay with my eyes closed on the floor."
"Right-." George breathes a laugh, trying to make the sudden cut off sound casual. Dream knows George was going to apologize, but at least he stopped himself. Progress.
"I'll check on Sapnap, I'll be right back." Karl says. Sapnap had spent quite awhile the night before just tiredly insisting he was fine and refusing to go to sleep. He'd ended up staying awake longer than any of them. Apparently he'd been awake when George first woke up at 3:30.
"He'll be alright," George says. "We all pull through, right?"
Dream smiles, and presses his lips to George's. If it's for his comfort or George's he can't be sure. "Your breath smells like coffee," He notes
"You don't get to complain! You kissed me!"
Dream just nods and takes George's newly filled coffee cup from the table. "This is mine now."

About a week later, Sapnap had also been persuaded into going to a therapist by Karl.
"He tricked you too?" George asks, tapping his feet on the carpeted floor in the waiting room.
"Yeah. I don't know how, though."
"Have you ever been to therapy before?" George asks. He's really just looking for some kind of direction or idea of what's supposed to happen.
"George, look me in the eyes and ask me that again. I'm just as nervous as you."
"I think I'm going in first..." George glances down the hallway to their left for probably the millionth time.
"Can you give me the run down when you get back?"
"Therapy's one of those things where it's different for a lot of people right?" George asks.
"Yeah, but we're here for kind of similar reasons, right? Bad family and depression."
"I'll try to tell you how it goes."
Suddenly, a door down the hallway clicks open, and a woman with white hair walks out. "George? Davidson?"
George stands up quickly. Holding his arms, he gives a small smile to the lady, presumably Puffy? "Hello."
"Hello, it's nice to meet you." She makes no move to shake his hand, but gestures to the propped open door.
Once settled, she smiles sweetly at him. "I'm not going to ask you to get directly into anything specific yet, but is there a particular reason you're here? Managing daily stress, depression, just somebody to talk to about life? I wasn't given much background here. All I really know is that you were signed up by a friend?"
"Yeah. I'm just here for... a lot? Just help, I guess." George can already feel his heart beating faster than normal.
"That's great. I just have a few questions. Easy stuff." George nods politely. "Are you in school?"
"Yeah, my senior year."
"Do you have any hobbies?" Puffy keeps a soft smile on her face, her posture professional but relaxed.
"Yeah, I..." George scrambles for something. He likes being around Dream and Karl, but being in other people's presence isn't a hobby... "I like music?"
"You listen to a lot of music?"
"Not lately, actually."
"Is there a reason for that?"
"Multiple. The last few months have been rough. But in some ways, good?"
"It is important to have good things even in a bad time. How has this time been good?"
"I met a lot of new people." George shrugs. "I stopped getting bullied by this one guy." Puffy scribbles something without looking away.
"Those are good things. Was there a certain event, like the bullying you mentioned, that led you to seek counseling?"
"More like the events of my whole life? The bullying was bad, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't the worst thing. The guy, he's outside actually. I came here with him. I'd say we're friends now? It's been a few months, and he's a good guy, you know."
Puffy nods. "You also said that last few months have been rough?"
George nodded. He felt his heart racing. "Yeah, my- I guess I don't uh... I was in a coma?" He says quickly, instead of mentioning his uncle.
"That certainly would make that rough. What happened?"
"A car accident. And stuff before that when I first met my boyfr-" He cuts himself off, gauging Puffy's reaction. He hadn't meant to say that. She showed no negative reaction. "When I first met... my boyfriend, things weren't to great." He keeps his eyes carefully trained on Puffy.
Their conversation continues, and it's mostly one sided. George doesn't reveal a lot. It leaves him with a pit in his stomach. He felt... unsatisfied? Disappointed?
He had definitley wanted to believe he was past being afraid of "advocating for himself", like Bad had said at one point.
Puffy says a little about herself, and they go over more formal stuff, even though George had filled in a lot of paperwork online.
"I think that's about our time. It was amazing to meet you, George. I'll see you again this time in a few days."
George hadn't really noticed when he turned his brain on autopilot, but he suddenly found himself a little confused at Puffy's statement. "Yeah- Nice to meet you too, sorry." He inwardly curses himself, but the reassurance sounds more like Dream's voice than his own.
"How was it? What she ask?" Sapnap immediately asks when he sees George.
"Nick?" A different person asks down the hall.
"Just relax, it'll be fine. Nothing too deep." George reassures him. "Looks like you've got a different therapist though."
"Great."
