(AN: Tazia chapter 1/2~)

My new master... or should I say boss? Is quite a peculiar one.

I as the Glass Devil, didn't particularly believe I was special. I don't believe that I did anything warranting the trait, but it seems that man took an interest in me. Well rather than 'man', I would label him as an oddity, for keeping me alive of all things. I'm sure he could have killed me had I rubbed him the wrong way, but for the little threat I posed to him; I tried to stay alive. What can I say... I've never been so grateful for my looks until yesterday...

Whatever, I don't want to think about it otherwise.

"...Tazia?" Himeno called out to me. I broke away from my thoughts and looked towards her. She eyed me worryingly.

"I'm fine." I told her. She simply looked at me confused and shrugged it off.

Gracefully walking to my destination, I found myself surrounded by five people. There was a boy- Aki, with a peculiar hairstyle also inhabited by the fox devil. I could also sense something else there, but I couldn't quite put a finger on it. The person who called me out was Himeno, and if I recall and she is Yomu's lover. She was with him yesterday, and.... they went at it pretty loud... how did Yoimiya get used to it?

Oh, and for introductions sake, as I look to my right, there's this scared and wimpy looking girl who was probably Kobeni. My brief understanding of her is that she was the one Yomu said was quite special considering her devil.

"Eeek! Himeno-senpai! S-She's glaring at me!" Kobeni hid behind Himeno. Is she scared of me? Hmph. She has pretty good instincts to be afraid of me.

"Tazia-chan... Try not to scare her so much..." Himeno requested. I scoffed and turned ahead. I wasn't even glaring at her or doing anything of the sort.

"It's okay Kobeni-chan. She's nicer than she looks." I heard her whisper behind my back. Indeed. I have always been nice. True elegance is to treat the weak with respect.

I puff my chest out and cross my arms. I'm sure I'm hiding my pleased expression well. Wait, I'm not smiling! It's your imagination!

Just as I was feeling the effects of praise, in front of me somebody cuts me off my path. A... monkey of a boy... and... an animal..

They were a pair of rough partners, them being the hybrid and Blood Fiend who stuck like two peas in a pod.

"It's because you never flush the damn toilet!" The hybrid yelled at the accused.

"Why should I?! I am too strong to simply care for that!" The victim refuted.

"....Such rowdy fools." I insulted them. Both of them looked back to me in synchronization, and they both seemed to have words for me.

"...Average." The boy said. Wait, what was average?! My face grew red and I almost tried to kill him by accident. Relax Tazia, remember your roots...

The Blood Fiend stared at my chest and she laughed coyly behind her hand.

"Mmm.. Indeed. Indeed..."

An irk mark grew on my head. Oh Yomu, I don't know if I'll survive the day.

As we approached the building, Aki stops for a moment and holds out the bullet necklace. "It's hiding somewhere in this hotel." Aki announced. "And this is no ordinary devil. It's eaten a piece of the Gun Devil's flesh."

Right, I think Makima told us we were to hunt down a devil? Gun Devil maybe? I don't even know. That Devil is kind of scary, but not as much as my savior.

Hm. It's funny how I work for Yomu, but he sent me off to work with his little squad. I find it quite odd that my first assignment was working apart from him, but I believe his objectives were to test my loyalty. What could I do against a man like that? I couldn't possibly think of ignoring him, or rather his sister even.
