Well, here we go then.

In five days, we were to meet with this cursed being.

I laid sideways hugging my pillow contemplating my next course of action. Unable to form any thoughts, I turned my head. Checking the time, I scanned my phone screen to find a text from Yoimiya.

YOIMIYA: HIMENO-NEE, I'M GONNA SWING BY LATER THIS AFTERNOON.

I left it unopened. Is that even the real Yoimiya? Gah. Well-- if it is the real one, I need her now more than ever.

...This is so confusing.

Nearing nine o'clock on a Sunday afternoon, I really had no clue what I was looking for now. Tazia mentioned that we need to figure out who the Memory Devil is, but it's easier said than done.

Oh shit. I just realized something crazy.

"I don't have any powers."

Sitting upright while extending my hand, I held out my palm and muttered the usual name I was so familliar with all these years.

"...Ghost."

...Of course, nothing responded. Like I said, she's done.

I rubbed my eyes as I got out of bed, and opened the door to head downstairs. Suddenly getting hit with a famillar scent, the smell of bacon filled up the area.

Walking down the stairs, I looked over to the kitchen to see my sister making breakfast. Rather than being excited for the meal, Adina was sitting by the countertop.

"Oh! G-Good morning, Himeno-san." She greeted me. She looked at the ground fidgeting with her hands, but she eventually met my eyes.

"...Yeah. Good morning." I responded. Looking over at Fubuki, it seemed she knew what I wanted to ask.

"Adina stayed the night." She answered bluntly.

"Huh. I didn't know you two were that close already."

Why have I never seen her around before? I knew she was friends with Akemi's sister.... But Adina?

Staring confused at Adina, her cheeks slowly turned pink as she lost eye contact with me.

"U-Uh... Did I do something wrong...?" She shyly turned away.

"...Nothing. You're very pretty." I complimented her. It was a little eerie how cute she was, but It may have been me being jealous, considering I was always a crazy drunkard.

"..Thank you!" She blushed. A soft warmth enveloped the room, but deep down in the corner of my heart, layed an uneasy feeling.

Breaking out of comfortable silence, Fubuki sighed and placed multiple servings of eggs from the pan onto a plate.

"Nee-san. Here." She slid over the plate a little closer to me, so I grabbed it and sat next to Adina. Grabbing my fork, I chowed down on my breakfast.

Same taste as always... Though it's been way too long since I last ate with....

...Yomu...

"Um...." Adina caught my attention. She pointed at her eye, the same side that my missing one was.

"..If you don't mind me asking..." Adina tilted her head in genuine concern. "What happened to your eye...?"

My eye...? What about it?

"...Oh yeah. I lost it to a devil." I explained. "..It was long ago, but I've learned to see without it."

She looked at me in embarassment.
