Bill and Will Cipher are twins who flee from their abusive family to a town in Oregon named Gravity Rises. In there, the twins start to get deja vus and dreams that feel familiar to them, but he never saw that before. Everything changes when they discover that angels exist, and hide themselves in bodies and minds of humans. They made their goal to investigate those angels and find out what was the meaning behind their dreams.

Mabel and Dipper Pines were staying with their Great Uncle Stanford for the winter. After sneaking out, they find a journal and meet a pair of twins in the forest. Mabel — for some odd reason — feels like she should beware and keep an eye on those twins, especially the blonde one. Dipper also feels a certain connection, but his is weaker than Mabel's. Pacifica Pleasure was plotting against the twins and they discovered her plans, and with that, the existence of a golden demon tyrant. Determined to stop whoever was carrying that demon in their head, Mabel and Dipper met two duos of kids — two step-siblings and two cousins — who'd hop along in her adventure against Pleasures.
After she met Bill in the forest, the twins started having dreams with people that look like their friends and family, but also, are very different. By the appearances the two were sure of what those were: angels;
Would Mabel and Dipper discover the truth about the Ciphers?
Were they the key to Bill and Will's investigation?
What are the angels and where are they?
Were the Pleasures going to be a bother to them?
What questions would be left unanswered? Do they even have an answer?
