Let me help. (A Siva Kaneswaran story)

Chapter 7

Nyx's pov:

I woke up that next morning to find Siva sleeping. His arm was around my waist and his head was on my shoulder. I was pulled close to his body. I looked at him. He looks so peaceful, but at the same time, I am still scared. I started to cry softly.

I want to trust him. For some reason I can't. I am terrified to even move. What if I moved and he got angry like the men did? What if he hit me? I know that he said that he would never hurt me.

The tears started to stream down my face. I tried not to move my chest too much, but he was really scaring me. Then he started to wake up. Well, I guess he is going to get really upset at me now.

"Hey there, Nyx." He said as he woke up. He looked at my face. I just laid there.

"Honey, why are you crying?" Siva then got off of me. I still didn't move.

"Please don't ever call me honey." I choked out. He put his hand on my cheek. I breathed in sharply.

"Anything for you. But now I want you to tell me something. Why are you crying?" His eyes were so gentle and sweet. I took his hand off of my cheek and I sat up.

"I am crying because I am messed up. I am afraid of you. I don't want to be, but I am. I woke up, and you were holding me. I was afraid that you were going to get angry if I moved, like the men did. Please don't hurt me." I tried not to look scared, but I knew that he saw that I was.

I saw a tear form and come out of his eye. I have never seen a man cry. It trailed off of his cheekbone and down to his jaw.

"Nyx, I would never ever hurt you. If you ever feel like you need to do something, just do it." I just couldn't believe what was happening.

"You are crying. I have never seen a man cry." I tell him. He smiles at me.

"I am crying because you are hurt. I am going to make some breakfast. Is there anything that you would like?" He got off of the bed. I shook my head.

"Surprise me." I tell him. He smiles one more time then he leaves the room. As soon as he left, I ran to the closet. I sat down and just waited.

Siva's pov:

I walked out of the room and shut the door. I then leaned against it and wiped my tears away. Why is she effecting me like this?

I got out of my trance and walked to the kitchen. Nathan and Max were in there talking about what had happened last night.

"Seev, why did you send us boys to bed?" Max asked. I looked at him. I could either tell him the truth, or lie to him.

"I didn't want you boys to make a bad impression on Nyx." I didn't lie, sort of. I grabbed 4 eggs and heated a pan. I cracked the eggs and started to cook them.

"How is Nyx this morning?" Nathan said. I turned around and looked at him.

"She is fine. She had a good time." I tell him. Then Jay hollered for me.

"Can you guys make sure that these dont burn?" I then left the kitchen. Those eggs had better not burn.

"Whats up, Jay?" I ask him. I then saw that he was standing in front of my door. He just looked at me.

"Whats going on, Siva? Why is Nyx crying in your closet?" Jay looked slightly angry. I opened my door and looked around my room. I saw that my closet door was still shut and Nyx wasn't in sight. I pulled Jay in the room and slammed the door.

"Did you open the closet door?" I looked at him intensely. What is happening to me? What has possessed me to act like this?

"No, she just was crying in there. I asked who was in there and she told me to go away. I left and then called you. Now, what is going on, Seev?" He looked normal. The anger seemed to go away.

"Nyx, could you come out? If you want?" I still looked at Jay as I said that.

"Please don't hurt me." She said that as she exited the closet. Jay looked at me with wild eyes.

"I would never ever hurt you." I told her. She sat down on the bed. I went over to her bad sat next to her, but I didn't touch her.

"Nyx, is it okay if I tell Jay whats going on?" She stares at me. Then she nods. She grabbed my hand and held it in her two hands.

"Nyx doesn't like human touch. She hasn't told us why yet, but she just doesn't like it. Also, the closet is her safe spot. So don't ever enter when she is in one." I tell Jay. He opens his mouth in shock.

"Wait, are you two actually dating?"

"Yes, we really are." Nyx says before I could have answered him. I was surprised that she said that, but I decided that it was best if I went along with it.

"Wait, you said 'we'. Who is this 'we'?" I could tell that Jay was confused.

"Nathan also knows. For some reason, she isn't scared of Nathan. But she is afraid of you and the others." I felt Nyx's hands tighten around mine.

"Nyx, please, don't be afraid of me! I am not scary! Or at least I don't mean to be!" Jay pleaded with her.

"I know that you aren't, but it is just an irrational fear that I have. Could you help me, though? It is pretty weird, so just walk away if you don't want me to do it." She told him. U knew that she was going to ask to touch him. I decided that I would leave the room for that and get the eggs, if he said yes.

"Sure, what is it?" He asked.

"Could I touch you?" He looked at her and looked really confused. He then looked at me. I nodded at him.

"Um, sure." He and I switched places. She didn't let him touch her though.

"Nyx, I am going to get our breakfast." I told her as I headed for the door. Before I reached the handle, I felt arms wrapped around my waist. I really hope that it wasn't Jay.

"Jay, you are so weird if this is you." I then felt Nyx giggle.

"Siva, thanks so much." She says as she let go.

"I'll be back." I say as I left her in the room with Jay.
