Alina Skywalker has been a slave all her life. She had been born into it though she had it much easier than her older brother and mother. They were all that she had, her father had left once he found that her mother had a child but to Alina his absence hardly mattered. As long as she had her brother and her mother she was content and she would never have it any other way. Her world would be turned upside down and changed, for better and for worse when four strangers come into Watto's shop for parts for their broken ship.
Sylvie Kryze is a Jedi Padawan. She was taken from her home planet of Mandalore when she was hardly three with very faint memories of her parents or sisters but she was content. After all, neither she nor any other Jedi that she knew remembered much different as they were all taken young. She never felt the lack of a parental figure either as the one who brought her to the temple, her master, Plo Koon would always fill the roll of a father. Little did she know that everything she knew and the order she held close would be threatened when after crash landing on Tatooine she took pity on two force sensitive slaves.
