"The children are here to see Padmé" The Guard spoke into his com. "Let them in" One of the handmaidens responded. As Anakin and Alina entered the room, the same handmaiden who had spoken approached them. "I'm sorry Ani, Lina, Padmé is not here right now" she said. "Who is it?" The three of them turned as the Queen appeared from one of the rooms. "Anakin and Alina Skywalker here to see Padmé your highness" The handmaiden said.

The two Skywalkers gave her a bow "I have sent Padmé on an errand" Queen Amidala stated. "We are on our way to the Jedi temple to start our training, I hope" Anakin said. "And we wanna say bye in case we don't see her again" Alina said. "We will tell her for you, we are sure her heart goes with you two" The Queen said. Anakin bowed again "Thank you, your highness" Alina followed her brother's example "Thank you" she echoed.

Alina stood next to her brother, clinging onto his hand as the Jedi Council tested their force ability. They put pictures on the holotab and they had to guess using the force. "A ship" Anakin guessed. The image shifted and their gazes were shifted to her now. Alina closed her eyes and tried to concentrate "A cup?" She asked, opening her eyes again. The image changed again, now it was Anakin's turn "A ship" he repeated. "A speeder" Alina said when the image changed. The bald man testing them out down the holotab, exchanging looks with the small old green one. The two of them nodded.

The Green Jedi Master put a finger under his chin as he hummed thoughtfully. "How feel you?" He asked. Alina wasn't sure how to respond, she wasn't sure how she felt. "Cold, sir" Anakin responded. "Afraid are you?" The Green Jedi Master asked. "Yes" she whispered "No, sir" The older Skywalker said. "See through you we can" The Green Jedi Master stated. "Be mindful of your feelings" The other Jedi Master who was testing them said. "Your thoughts dwell on your mother" A third Jedi master said. "We miss her" Anakin said. "Afraid to lose her I think? Hmm, afraid to lose each other?" The green Jedi Master said.

Alina nodded. "What has that got to do with anything?" Anakin asked "Everything. Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering" She found herself clinging onto every word the green Jedi Master spoke, a chill set inside her along with a light fear that she was quick to suppress. "I sense much fear in you" The green Jedi Master stated.

"The force is strong with them" Master Ki-Adi Mundi said "They are to be trained then?" Qui-Gon asked. "The girl will be made a youngling" Sylvie's own master, Plo Koon said. "And the boy?" Sylvie asked. "No, he will not be trained" Jedi Master Mace Windu said. "No?" Qui-Gon asked. Sylvie looked at him in surprise before glancing down at Alina who had visibly faltered at the idea of training to be a Jedi without her brother.

"He is too old" Made Windu said. "He is the chosen one. You must see it" Qui-Gon said. "Mmm, clouded the boy's future is" Grandmaster Yoda said, eyes closed. "I will train him then" The Jedi knight said, moving forward and placing his hands on Anakin's shoulder. "I take Anakin as my padawan learner" Obi-Wan and Sylvie exchanged surprised looks. 'But what of Obi-Wan? Qui-Gon can't take two at once' "An apprentice you have Qui-Gon, impossible to take on a second" Yoda said, apparently having the same thoughts as her about the matter.

"The code forbids it" Mace Windu added. "Obi-Wan is ready" Qui-Gon said. Obi-Wan stepped forward "I am ready to face the trials" he said. "Our own council we will keep on who is ready" Yoda said. "He is headstrong and he has much to learn of the living force but he is capable. There is little more he can learn from me" The Jedi Knight stated. "Young Skywalker's fate will be decided later" The Grandmaster said finally. "Now is not the time for this. The senate is voting for a new Supreme Chancellor and Queen Amidala is returning home which will put pressure on the federation and could widen the confrontation"

Sylvie tried to catch Qui-Gon's eye, she had no knowledge of the fact that Queen Amidala was returning back to Naboo. While she understood that The Queen didn't want to stand by to watch her people suffer but what good would it do if she too was caught with them? And what of the Sith that she and Qui-Gon had encountered? Wouldn't they be present too? "Go with the Queen to Naboo and discover the identity of this dark warrior. This is the clue we need to unravel the mystery of the Sith" Mace Windu said before sitting back in his chair again. "May the force be with you" Yoda said, dismissing the five of them.

Alina watched silently from behind R2 as Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan discussed the council's decision about what to do with Anakin. Sylvie had wanted to come as well and she had tried to convince the council to let her to with them but they had refused, instead she was to stay at the temple and train with her master. Now technically Alina wasn't allowed to either but where Anakin went, she went. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan seemed to be arguing about something "Qui-Gon, sir, I don't want to be a problem" Anakin said as Obi-Wan turned around and went aboard the Starship. "You won't be Ani" Qui-Gon said, crouching down in front of him.

Alina glanced back at Obi-Wan, he didn't look very happy. She figured Anakin would be fine with Qui-Gon so she turned and went up the ramp. Spotting Obi-Wan's brown cloak, she made her way over to him. "Hi" She said, sitting down next to him. "Hello There" he responded. "Why were you and Qui-Gon arguing?" She asked. "We weren't arguing, we just had a small disagreement" Obi-Wan said. "Oh" Alina fell silent for a few moments "There's this thing Master Yoda mentioned, Midi something"

"Midi-chlorians" He corrected "Right, Midi-chlorians" Alina nodded "What are Midi-chlorians?" She asked, tilting her head as she looked up at him. "Midi-chlorians are lifeforms that live within the cells of all living beings. They speak to us and tell us the will of the force" Obi-Wan explained. She nodded again, slower this time as she turned her head to face infront. "Why can't I hear them now?" She asked. "Because you need to learn to quiet your mind first" He said "And when I become a Jedi I'll learn how to do that?" She asked. "That and much more" he nodded. "But what about Ani? Will he learn to do that too?" Alina looked up at Obi-Wan again. There was a few moments of silence from his end "It's the council's decision" he said finally. Alina couldn't help but deflate a bit, the council clearly didn't like Ani. Did that mean he wasn't going to be trained? How was she supposed to become a Jedi without him?
