Chapter Ten

Sylvie exited the ship for a quick breath of fresh air when she spotted Qui-Gon rushing towards them with both the Skywalkers behind him and right behind them was a black speeder with a robed figure on it heading straight for them. "Qui-Gon, sir, wait! We're tired!" Anakin called. "Anakin, Alina drop!" Qui-Gon ordered, spotting the figure. The boy ducked onto the ground, pulling his sister down with him as the speeder went over them.

The figure leaped off his speeder, igniting a red lightsaber as he landed in front of Qui-Gon who blocked his attack with his own lightsaber. Sylvie rushed forward, igniting her orange blade as she joined the fight. "Go! Tell them to take off!" The Jedi knight ordered the Skywalker siblings who rushed past them into the Nubian starship. The attacker was a much harder challenge than Sylvie had first anticipated and an extremely good fighter, especially since he was fighting two Jedi at once and holding his own- No, he wasn't just holding his own, he was winning against the both of them. She only just managed to keep her lightsaber in her hands as the figure let out an onslaught of vicious attacks against the two Jedi. Sylvie broke away from the fight, one hand clutching her side and blood pooled from the cut, staining her robe and splattering on the sand below.

She bit back a small gasp of pain, pressing her hand against the wound.  Sylvie heard the light rumble of an engine and looked to see the starship fly low off the ground, disturbing sand as it went. It's ramp was still lowered. She moved her hand from the wound, using the force to leap onto the ramp. She used the wall for support, tearing out a piece of fabric to press against the cut. Qui-Gon leaped into the ship as the ramp closed.

"Are you alright?" Anakin asked, running towards her and Qui-Gon with Obi-Wan and Alina. Two handmaidens followed them. They made the injured Padawan sit down as they tended to her wounds. "What was it?" Obi-Wan asked, kneeling beside his master. "I am not sure but it was well trained in the Jedi arts" The Jedi knight responded. 'Well trained is an understatement' Sylvie thought to herself. "My guess is it was after the Queen" he continued.

"What are we going to do about it?" Anakin asked. "I'm not sure what we can do about it, it was very well trained" Sylvie stated, withholding the part where she thought that it might be a Sith. "We shall be patient" Qui-Gon said "Anakin Skywalker, Alina Skywalker, meet Obi-Wan Kenobi" The two Skywalkers turned to the padawan, shaking hands with him. "Hi, you're a Jedi too? Pleased to meet you" Anakin said. "Hello" Alina murmured softly.

"Corasaunt. The entire planet is one big city" One of the pilots told Anakin and Alina as they approached the landing pad. "There's Chancellor Valorum's shuttle, and look over there, Senator Palpatine is waiting for us" Sylvie exited the cockpit and made her way to the ramp as they landed. The three Jedi were the first to move out of the shuttle and down the ramp, followed closely by JarJar and the Skywalkers, then the head guard, the queen and the other Naboo. Sylvie gave Chancellor Valorum a quick bow along with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan.

JarJar and the Skywalker siblings copied them but the Queen only nodded. They stepped to the side as Queen Amidala approached Chancellor Valorum and Senator Palpatine. "It is a great gift to see you alive, Your Majesty. With the communications breakdown we have been very concerned" The Senator stated. "I'm anxious to hear your report on the situation" he then turned to the Supreme Chancellor "May I present Supreme Chancellor Valorum"

"Welcome, Your Highness. It is an honor to finally meet you in person" Chancellor Valorum said. "Thank you, Supreme Chancellor" Queen Amidala said. "I must relay to you how distressed everyone is over the current situation. I have called for a special session of the senate to hear your position" The Supreme Chancellor said. "I am grateful for your concern Chancellor" Queen Amidala responded before continuing on with Senator Palpatine, her guards, handmaidens and Skywalkers but the Chancellor stood still "There is a question of procedure but I am confident we can overcome it" he said.

"I must speak with the Jedi Council immediately. The situation has become much more complicated" Qui-Gon told the Chancellor. Anakin stopped following Padmé, turning around to face them, noticing her brother's sudden stop, Alina did the same. "Ani, Lina... Come on" Padmé prompted. The Skywalkers looked questioningly at Qui-Gon who gestured for them to continue. They got into a vehicle with the Naboo, setting out for the senate building.

Sylvie stood beside Qui-Gon as he told the Jedi Council about their encounter with the Sith back on Tatooine. "He was trained in the Jedi arts. My only conclusion can be that it was a sith lord" he said. "Impossible. The sith have been extinct for a millennium" Jedi Master Ki-Adi Mundi stated. "I do not believe the Sith could have returned without us knowing" Master Mace Windu said. "Ah, hard to see, the dark side is" Grandmaster Yoda said. "We will use all our resources to unravel this mystery. We will discover the identity of your attacker. May the force be with you" Mace Windu dismissed.

Sylvie, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan bowed but while the two padawans moved to leave the room, Qui-Gon stayed put. "Master Qui-Gon, more to say have you?" Yoda asked. Sylvie paused at the door with Obi-Wan, the two of them exchanged looks. "With your permission my master, I have encountered a vergence in the Force" Qui-Gon stated. "A vergence you say?" The Grandmaster asked. "Located around a person?" Master Windu asked. "A boy, his cells have the highest concentration of midi-chlorians I have seen in a life form" The Jedi knight responded "It is possible he was conceived by the midi-chlorians"

The Jedi masters exchanged looks "You refer to the prophecy of the one who will bring balance to the force? You believe it's this boy?" Mace Windu asked. "I don't presume to-" Qui-Gon began "But you do" Yoda interrupted "Revealed your opinion is" he stated. "I request the boy be tested, Master. His little sister too" Qui-Gon said. "Oh? Trained as a Jedi you request for them, hmm?" The Grandmaster asked. "Finding them was the will of the Force. I have no doubt about that" The Jedi knight said. Mace Windu shook his head with a sigh "Bring them before us, them"

Qui-Gon bowed again as he exited the room with Sylvie and Obi-Wan.

Sooo, I'll be disappearing again for about three weeks to a month. I'll just pump out all the chapters that you'd have gotten in that month in this week. Sorry for the disappearance so soon after the last one.
