In a town called Heart-Ville, Ruella Hayes lives in hiding. She's been hiding in this town for two years now, but she doesn't let her guard down. Ruella has been running from her past. She moved to different places, but it caught up with her until she moved to Heart-Ville. Ruella feels this town is perfect and peaceful. Everyone is nice and doesn't ask many questions. Ruella changed her name to Blue Wesley so she couldn't be found.

Her boss is the only one who knows her real name. Ruella is very grateful for her boss, Mrs. Jackie, who understands her situation. Mrs. Jackie lets Ruella rent an apartment in one of the buildings she owns. Ruella made a deal with Mrs. Jackie. The deal was that she would keep Ruella's secret as long as she didn't go near the man who runs this town. The name of that man is Christian Yu. Ruella agreed to her conditions. Between Mrs. Jackie and Ruella, they called Ruella by her nickname when they both were alone together.

"Rue?" Mrs. Jackie called. Ruella turned around and walked towards her. "How are you feeling today?" Mrs. Jackie asks, cleaning her station up. They both worked in a library which also had a cafe in it.

"Better than yesterday," Rue replied, wiping the tables down in the cafe. Sometimes Rue would work as the librarian, and other times, it was the cafe. Mrs. Jackie stops and looks at Rue, which causes her to also stop. "Why don't you go out and have some fun? I know you want to be cautious because of your situation, but at least have some fun. " Mrs. Jackie says. Rue sighs, looking unsure of the suggestion. "I don't know," she replies, looking at Mrs. Jackie.

"Come on, Rue, every girl needs to have one good night to themselves," she says, trying to persuade. Rue thinks about it before finally giving in and agreeing. "Great, now go on. I got the rest. " Mrs. Jackie says, assuring Rue before lightly shoving her out. Rue chuckled before using her feet and walking out the exit doors leaving. She runs a few blocks down, reaching the apartment building and heading upstairs. Rue unlocks her apartment door, which had the number three on it. She pushes the door open and walks inside, closing it behind her.

Rue decides to go clubbing because of all the conversations she heard by eavesdropping. They said there was this popping club. Rue dressed in this black sparkling dress with long sleeves and a V-neck cut that stopped at her breast crease, which hugged her body perfectly.

Feeling satisfied, she leaves her apartment, locking it up before heading towards the club. The base of the music was bumping, and there was a line. After waiting for a few minutes, the security officer checked her ID before allowing her to go in. Rue stepped through the door as the strobe lights and music hit her. The song that played was one of her favorites, "Mi Gente." Rue moved her body a little. She saw the bar and headed straight for it.

Rue sat on the stool. "What can I get you, miss?" The bartender asks. "Can I get a tequila on the rocks?" she replies. The bartender nodded and began to make her drink. She looked around, noticing everyone was having a good time. The bartender then placed her drink in front of her, and she thanked him. Rue took a couple of sips as she moved her body to the music a little. After ordering a couple of more drinks, she felt a little tipsy. Rue felt the urge to dance, so she stood up and headed toward the dance floor. She stumbled a little and bumped into someone.

Rue let out a shriek but couldn't be heard over the loud music. She began to fall back but stopped midway as she felt someone's hands on her waist. She gasped as the air was knocked out of her. Rue rose her head up and looked to see this fine, beautiful, and handsome man.

"Are you okay?!" He yelled out to her. Rue noticed he had an accent. It was Australian, which was even hotter, she thought. Rue nodded as he helped her stand back up. "Thank you," Rue said as she tried to calm herself.  The closeness between them felt unbelievable. "What's your name?" he asked. Rue felt compelled to answer. "Ruella, but Rue for short," she said.
