Three years...

It's been three years since the departure of Rue and Christian. Everything changed and somewhat went back to normal. Rue hasn't seen or heard of his name or any others that he was associated with. She moved out of Heart-Ville and found herself a hardworking job. She was an assistant at a big company.

The company runs a multimedia streaming platform that takes music and things to another level. She was lucky to be there. She finally was free and had nothing to worry about. Rue has met a new friend who is a guy, but he is gay. No one else thinks he is because he is so masculine, but Rue knows and is keeping the secret for him.

Every year, she goes back to Heart-Ville and visits a certain location where she likes to remember and talk with her baby. She somehow manages to sneak onto Christian's property and goes straight to his garden. That was the place spent a lot of time when she was pregnant. Although she thinks she is skilled to sneak in but she is not. Mrs. Sheila saw her one day and let her know what she was doing.

Rue is now holding a stack of documents needed by the CEO and is headed toward the elevator. She makes her way up.

Christian has been released and is cleared. He stayed at a nearby hotel for a couple of days before his father's secretary reached out to him and said he was needed at the company. Christian hated that man, but business is business. All he wanted to do was find Rue.

He walked into the building, and lots of the employees bowed to him as he made his way through and near the elevator. He stepped inside and pressed the top floor button, and watched the doors close.

Christian stepped out and walked towards his father's office. He stood right before the door and knocked on it. Hearing his father's voice, he opened the door. "Ah, Christian. It's so good to see you. I heard you got out of that horrible place," his father snickered.

Christian rolled his eyes. "What do you want? I have better things to do than be here in this shit.

"What things did you have to do? Wait, let me guess, find that Hayes girl or something," his father said. Christian glared at his father, and then a knock was heard. "I think you will like this," his father said, smirking. "Come in.

In came a woman with a stack of files, but it wasn't any woman it was his woman. "Here you are, Mr. Xavier. I brought the files you told me to get." Rue looked up and saw Christian standing right next to her boss. "Thank you, Rue, if you would place them on that table there," Xavier said. Rue nodded and placed them on the table.

Rue bowed and left the room. Before Xavier could say anything to Christian, he ran out of the room chasing after Rue.

Rue was conflicted. How? What? When? Why? She was caught up in her thoughts when she was pulled into a janitor's closet.  "Let go of me," she said and looked up to see Christian. "Christian, when did you get out?

"Why are you here?" he asked. Rue tried to get her arm free, but Christian backed her into the wall, trapping her with both hands placed next to her head. "Isn't it obvious? I work here," she stated.

"Do you even know who the man you're working for is?" Christian asked. Rue rolled her eyes. "You're working for my father," he continued. Rue looked at Christian. It seemed like he wanted a reaction from her. "So? Why should that matter?" She retorted.

"Rue, you shouldn't work for him. He is a dangerous man and caused lots of people harm," Christian explained. Rue scoffed, "What about you? You're also dangerous and cause people pain." He moved his arms away and placed them back to his sides.
