Rue was standing next to Christian. "Kristy, this is my wife, Ruella," he said, causing Rue to widen her eyes, shocked and confused. "Wife? I didn't know you got married." Kristy said with disappointment in her voice. "Yes, just recently, and we are expecting." he continued.

Kristy was too stunned to speak. "It was nice to see you, Kristy, but it's very late. I think you should leave." Christian said, closing the door before Kristy stopped it. "Can I stay here for the night? I rushed over here after my flight that I forgot to book a hotel to stay at."

Christian nodded, "You know where the guest room is." Kristy nodded and headed upstairs. Rue watched when she noticed Kristy going into her room. "Hey that-," Rue began to say when Christian cut her off. "The guest bed was being made when you came so, the covers will be messy," Christian said, and Kristy nodded, continuing to travel upstairs.

Rue glared at Christian. "What are you doing?" she whispered and yelled at him. Christian then signaled her to be quiet. "Just for one night," he said. "Then I'm sleeping on the couch," Rue said, heading towards the living room. Christian stopped her and picked her up bridal style.

"Christian put me down," Rue said. "Mrs. Yu, time for bed," he said and began going up the stairs. Kristy watched them from the door, which she had left cracked. She felt enraged and jealous at the sight. Kristy closed the door.

Christian then places Rue back on her feet. She smacked his bare chest. "You have some explaining to do," she said. "I will tell you tomorrow, but right now, let's get some sleep," he said. Rue nodded, heading towards one side of the bed, and grabbed pillows, placing them on the floor. Christian took notice of it. "What are you doing?" he asked.

Rue stopped and looked at him. "I'm sleeping on the floor." "No you are pregnant and will be uncomfortable, so just sleep on the bed."

"Okay, but don't touch me," Rue replied, placing the pillows back on the bed. Christian and Rue got under the covers and lay in the bed. Rue then turned on her side, and Christian did the same. They both were now facing each other. The sound of each other's breathing filled the silence.

"Can I hold you?"

Rue knew she was going to regret it, but she said yes. Christian pulled Rue into his arms. Her head rested near his chest. She touched his tattoos.

Christian caressed her hair, which was full of curls. "Why me?" Rue asked. "What do you mean?" "Why is it me? There are so many women out there like me, but you chose me. Why?" "Rue I've been with women like you, but you're much more different," Christian confessed. "So many men have hurt me, What makes you different?" Rue asked.

"I'm different because I want to love you. I don't want to hurt you." Rue looked up at him as he stared back at her. "Other women show hatred towards me because they think I'm a whore. Men want to use me to fulfill their sexual desire. For you, Christian, I can't tell what it is that you want. You say that you want to love me, but how do I know it's the truth? What if you're like the other men that I came across?"

"Because we created something. This baby you carrying is the love we share.  Deep down in your heart, you know it, too. I could have left as other men do, but I chose to stay and take responsibility. Rue, I want to take care of you and the baby, but most importantly, I want to get to know you and have a chance to love you like no other."
