"Finally, let's go and get this over with," Rue said and closed the door behind her and locked it. Christian followed behind her. He led them to his car and opened the door for Rue. She slid in as he closed the door and headed to his side, and opened the door, getting inside.
"You seem a bit agitated. What's wrong?" He asked, putting his seatbelt on and starting the car. "Before you showed up, I got a surprise visit from someone," Rue replied. "Who was it?"
"Kristy's mother." Christian nodded, taking note of it, and drove off to his father's house. The same house he grew up in. They pulled into the driveway. Rue noticed how big the house was. Christian parked the car and stopped Rue as she was about to exit the car.
"Before we go in here, I just want to let you know that there are going to be sharks coming at you," he said. "I know, and that's why I prepared myself," she replied. Rue excited the car, and Christian couldn't help but smile. He soon excited the car as they walked side by side into the house together.
The bright lights filled every room. It was so big it felt like some grand hotel. Christian led the way as she followed him. They made it to the dining room. There, they both saw Kristy, Xavier, and Michelle.
"I'm so glad you both could finally make it," Xavier stood up from his seat, welcoming the two. Christian rolled his eyes as he pulled a chair put, and Rue sat in it as he sat next to her. Everyone was now seated. Xavier told his workers to start bringing out the food. One by one, they placed the different plates of food onto the table.
"Why are they here? You said a family dinner, they are not part of the family," Christian said, and you could hear the anger in his voice. "That's where you're wrong, son. They are part of the family. I have an announcement to make," Xavier said.
He stood up before continuing, "Michelle and I are engaged. We are getting married, which means"
"I know what the fuck it means!" Christian yelled startling Rue a little. Xavier sat back down and looked at Christian. "Christian, there is no need to yell. We will become a family soon, and you will have to accept that she will become your mother," Xavier said.
"She will never replace my mother! You don't have the right to speak about my mother after what you did to her!" Christian yelled. Rue looked at him. She's never seen Christian get like this. Rue was confused. What did his father do to his mother?
"Please stop this. Let's please just enjoy this dinner and talk about this later," Michelle said. Xavier cleared his throat, agreeing with Michelle. It was quiet. The only noise was the sound the silverware was making. Christian calmed down some.
"Wow, all this drama makes me wonder. Rue, where are your parents?" Kristy suddenly spoke up. All eyes got to Rue. She places her silverware down and loos at Kristy. They both stare at each other. "My parents died," she replied. "Oh, no, just like your child, no wonder you can't change the fate that your child suffered. Your parents went through the same thing, an accident."
Rue chuckled a little, "I pity you." Kristy wanted to know what Rue was going to say. "You don't have a father. You are worthless, just like your mother here. I am as real and see right through your gold digging fake ass. I earn my money, and I don't have to use a guy to get what I want. Unlike you, I don't need someone to handle my problems."
