Chapter 1

ALESSANDRA

Here I am at a cocktail lounge with my girls Jade and Amara. Living our best lives and forgetting about work.

Since the ending of my last relationship, for the first time in a long time I've never felt so happy. After getting out of that toxic relationship with my ex, the best thing to happen.

I'm still in my healing era, healing from things I've been through, but nonetheless I'm working on me , better than who I was before. I've grown so much and I am proud of me.

"Cheers to us!" Jade said as we all held up our drinks.

" How many more of these do we have to take?" I said.

"Like a thousand." Amara said laughing.

With Amara counting down we all took the shot together all making the same face then we all bursted out in laughter.

" I really really need to get laid tonight." Amara pouted.

"Aren't you dating someone?" I asked.

"It turns out he's not the one, but let's not talk about that tonight." She said as I opened my mouth in shock.

" As for you, when was the last time you got laid?" She questioned.

"We all know it's been years." Jade stated.

"Guys, you know I'm not focusing on that right now, I'm trying to focus on me." I told them.

"Exactly, your focusing on you and that's apart of you, we've got to get you laid."

I rolled my eyes at them as I was about to say something a waiter walked up to the table.

"Good evening ladies, a gentleman over there has asked me to deliver these drinks to you."

Immediately, I said with a friendly smile on my face. "Thank you, but we are gonna have to turn these down, we were actually on our way out."

"Nuh uh, we staying right here." Jade responded. "We'll kindly accept these drinks, thank you. Oh! And whoever that lovely gentleman is thank him as well."

"Uhh, Excuse me." He turned around realizing I was addressing him. He answered "Is there something I can help you with?"

"Yes, Actually, the gentleman who sent over these drinks, would you mind showing me where he's seated. I would like to personally thank him."

"Of course he's seated right over there." He pointed.

As he pointed to where the man was seated my eyes followed only to see a man who was indeed handsome. He had black hair with a perfect structured jawline, plump lips and brown eyes staring right at our table.

Oh Shit, he's hot.

I quickly turned around in my seat acting normal. "Guys!Guys!"
"You wanna leave already?" Jade questioned.
"It's not that. So I asked the waiter about the man that bought us these drinks and he's right over there."

They all began to look. "Oh my gosh", "He's fine", " It looks like one of us can actually get laid tonight." Jade said with a smirk on her face.

"Yeah, he's definitely checking you out Alessandra." Amara responded.

"No he's not", I slightly turned around only to see his eyes piercing right through me.

"Oh my God, he's definitely checking me out."
