Chapter 3

ALESSANDRA

It was now Monday, I was now at work, navigating the bustling aisles and assisting customers with choosing the perfect outfit.
From a young age I've always had the passion to style outfits to creating my own unique style. I have yearned for more than just styling. My dream is to become a fashion designer and own my own boutique where I can have my own signature style.

As I walk through the aisle with the lady I'm assisting, my mind suddenly goes back to the night of the handsome man. Each moment my mind was tainted with the mysterious handsome man. As the day went by my mind became a vivid canvas replaying the moment even though it did not last five minutes.

I arrived home, quickly entered my apartment, missing the scent of my apartment which gives a mix of comfort and solitude, as I kicked off my shoes. I then plopped myself down into the sofa and I took my phone typing a quick message to the group chat inviting them over.

I went to take a shower and decided to turn the TV on. As I was about to I heard a knock at the door.  I opened the door and there was Jade and Amara, a burst of excitement accompanied them as they entered.

Amara and Jade unloaded bags of food and snacks and of course a bottle of wine ready to uncork.

While we were eating I slowly chewed my food then became a reminder of the lingering thoughts about the mysterious man. I snapped back into reality hearing the laughter of Jade and Amara, the anticipation then began to stirr within me.
"Guys something is bothering me" I said
The room was now filled with silence with all the attention shifting on me.
Amara chimed in her vibrantly energy evident in her voice "Spill it hun, We're all ears".
A hushed pause settled over the room as they both looked at me with their expressions a mix of anticipation and guessing.
"Is it about a guy"? Jade inquired her eyes narrowing slightly.
Amara, always quick to catch onto the vibe, chimed in, "Wait, is it about the guy at lounge?"
I gave a subtle nod confirming their speculation. "Yeah, I can't stop thinking about him."
"The man who you didn't ask him his name! I knew he left an impression. What's the plan now?" Amara said excitedly

Jade said worriedly" Considering what happened with your previous relationship, do you want this?"

"I know I promised myself a break from all the drama. But this feels different, you know. I felt something."

Amara said" So what you wanna do, do you want us to go back to the same lounge or something more daring?"

"I'm thinking of going back to the lounge and see if he'll be there again, as a coincidence" I said

Amara stated" Absolutely! I'll join you for round two. We'll make it a night to remember."

Jade assured" Just stay true to yourself and remember, if it doesn't feel right, don't push it"

A subtle smile graced my lips with a feeling of anticipation.
