Chapter 10: Coming Home For Christmas

As the Christmas Holidays were approaching, Harry had told James and Albus before they left to Hogwarts that they would be spending their Christmas at their Aunt's house and they agreed. So The Potters, The Weasleys, The Riddles, and Willow De Lav had spent their time packing to go home and had to leave Hogwarts. Sadly for Albus, he would have to leave his friends at Hogwarts and was sad about it as they were waiting. Willow, Selene, Rose, and Hugo had time to talk with Atlas who was happy to have friends to talk to while Esau, James, and Albus were waiting with other students to board the train back to King's cross. Albus was sulking and James had to be the older brother to cheer his younger brother "Hey, what's that upside down smile?" "I am gonna miss Hogwarts and my friends" James started to laugh "It's ok, Albus. It's just two weeks and we are going to Aunt Olivia's place and wonder what fun things to expect." "True!" "And remember she did promise that we can duel when we come back to her place" "True." "And we can see who will become sleepover king" "Yes!" Albus started to cheer up and get excited as the train was about to enter.  All of them said bye to Atlas and got on the train. It was a long journey back and they finally saw their parents and as Ginny saw her children, she started to smile and gave them a big hug as well as their father, Harry and Lily. Willow immediately went out of the train and raced to her mother, Olivia and she gave her the best hug she could give that both of them started tearing up. Ron and Hermione Weasley helped their children and both back and gave them a hug and Hermione checked if they were all right. Fabienne and Tom were excited to see their children and both were happy to see them and gave them hugs and kisses. As each of the families left the train station Olivia and Willow were preparing for the Christmas party. Their first visitors were the Potters and they brought Christmas food. Then next was the Riddle family. Tom and Fabienne brought Puto for dessert and Pansy with Mattheo brought gifts. It was a small cottage but all the families did not know that it was just a distraction to the real place. Olivia opened the entrance that showed the De Lav Mansion and all the kids were excited and all ran to the Mansion. It was massive, modern, but also luxurious as if a rich person lived there. That De Lav Mansion was decorated with modern furniture, titanium and silver, and machinery. They were all surprised that it was a beautiful mansion. The children went and explored the mansion and found so many things as the parents stayed in the living room to chat and had a feast later on. Some of them were playing Quidditch, playing gobstones, and doing so much more but James was the only one found in Olivia's humongous library trying to find Delphini. "For the first time in forever,  I see that James Potter is not interested in the holidays but in his studies or this is for something else." Olivia gave an intrigued look to James, James tried to make it look like he was interested with her stuff in the library but she would know that he is lying so he just gave in. "Well something happened in school and all the trouble makes me think about this girl" "Girl?" "Yep and she may be a bad influence to my brother and I don't want him to suffer the consequences" "You do know that we are not supposed to judge others by their manners or what they are James" "I know, Aunt Liv but the trouble she makes is not the good kind of trouble" Olivia became concerned as she saw James becoming more frustrated "What's her name?" "Delphini Diggory" responded Albus. Olivia was surprised to hear the name "Diggory" "Yes and because of that I got curious and tried to find out who she is and then Willow said something about a guy named Chad" Olivia was more surprised than ever that she almost slipped on one of the books James was researching on. Olivia was frustrated to learn about Chad and called "Willow, I know you are there" and Willow came out looking guilty for telling them "Willow, what did I say about our secrets?" Olivia said calmly Willow was shaking and said "I am sorry mom. I didn't mean to but they were going to go around in circles if I did not tell them, you're not angry, are you?" Olivia knelt down and told her "No I am not. Just don't do that ever again" as Olivia smiled and Willow smiled as well and gave her mom a hug and went out of the room. James was watching and Olivia looked like she was talking to herself but she looked at James "Wanna walk James?" he just nodded and got up from his chair as the books flew back to their original places. Olivia and James walked past the families and Olivia spoke "Chad is an acronym" "An acronym?" "Yes. It stands for Cedric the Hufflepuff Amos Diggory and he was someone who was special to Hogwarts and was one of your father's friends that helped him until the very end as well as my best friend" He was amazed that his father never told him about it to his friend and asked  "Really? But where is he?" "He is dead, James. Killed by You-Know-Who" Olivia sadly responded. "His family loved him very much and the day he died was the saddest of all" "After I heard about the name Delphini Diggory, It stunned me" "Why?" "Because Cedric was the only child that was ever born" James was shocked to hear it from his aunt and tried to keep it together so he could continue to hear his aunt. "It would clearly be impossible for your friend to be alive since that would mean Cedric is alive and had an affair to make Delphini" and she stopped walking and faced a door and James saw the door as well and Olivia continued to speak "But he isn't" as she opened the door he saw Willow in the middle of a large ballroom and she looked as though she was looking for someone and she found it but it was invisible and Olivia spoke "There is this thing in my family that we can see the dead and she can see this as well" as Olivia made the magic spell, he saw who Willow was hugging and it was a man that was smiling happily and started to play with Willow "Now that is your Uncle Cedric who is the father of Willow, He is a bit shy kind of ghost and only comes to us and doesn't show himself to others." "How are you two together when he is a ghost and you're a human?" "I asked myself the same thing and I let him go but he just keeps on coming back so he won't make Willow feel lonely." Olivia was happy seeing the two of them playing together but she continued speaking "If you want you and ask him yourself, he doesn't mind" and James turned to his aunt and said "No. It's ok I think everything you said is enough for me to believe that my classmate is faking it." Before he was about to leave Olivia called him "James, keep this a secret please" and James nodded and left to be back with his family. On Christmas morning, they all found gifts under the tree and Hugo screamed "I got a toad!!!"  All were laughing and all of them got their gifts and had to leave  even when they didn't want to because all the children were crying that they had to leave. All spent their Christmas Holidays well until it was time to go back to school.
