Chapter 14: A Boggart Lesson

It's DADA time for the 3rd-Year students and everyone was learning about Boggarts. The class was early and waited for Professor Holmes to begin the lesson. Then she teleported, giving her class a shock, "Good Afternoon, class!" she boomed with joy. Everyone greeted her with chirps. She spoke clearly "We are going Now, who can tell me what a Boggart is?" James raised his hand and responded sharply "A Boggart is what you fear the most. To face your fears is by transforming it from fearful to something hilarious". "Well done, Mr. Potter. 15 Points to Gryffindor!" Professor Holmes cheered. "Now remember as you face your fear you must remember to have fun and everyone say this incantation with me, Riddikulus" and everyone says the same thing "Riddikulus!" "Good Job everyone, now get ready!" She played the music and released a boggart on a muggleborn Slytherin student, Sophie Gilberts, making her tremble. Her fear was a bat and she transformed it into a bunny. Next was a pureblood Hufflepuff student, Isadore Partridge. The bunny transformed into a creepy doll that had red glowing eyes, neat blonde pigtails, white porcelain China, and a pink dress which started moving. He whimpered in fear and Professor Holmes hissed "Come on! Fight it, Mr. Partridge!" Quickly, the doll turned into a cat. Next was Agatha Warden, a Halfblood Ravenclaw. The cat turned into a witch hunter with a rifle gun that scares her the most and she quickly transformed it into a talking teddy bear. It's now James Potter's turn and the talking teddy bear into an Obscurus and he stood speechless and thought of something familiar, stiffer than a statue. Professor Holmes rushed at a speed of lightning to shield James and it transformed into a paper crane. After DADA lesson, it's dismissal time and James was trembling with fear, and he felt whiter than a ghost. Albus noticed James looked pale white. He asked worriedly, "James, are you alright?" James said "Yep I am fine" but he didn't look like it as he stayed in the clocktower where he felt safe to breathe and didn't go to his next class. After a few hours he left the tower to eat in the great hall, but Professor Holmes saw him and checked on him. "Mr. Potter, may I have a word?" and he turned around to see the Professor and she asked "Are you alright? After what happened a while ago it made me worried" and he answered "I am fine, professor. I just needed some time to breathe" "Are you sure?" and he gave a smile showing a big yes and she left him alone.
