Chapter 12: A Dark Clue

After James told Albus and Scorpion about Delphini, it was not the same. Every time the two of them had a conversation with Delphini, they were being cautious and couldn't talk to her properly since all they're stories and memories matched with what James talked about. As their exams were soon to approach, all of them had to study but Albus couldn't get it off his mind about Delphini and all the treacherous things she did. She was the second friend he made in Hogwarts, and it had to affect their friendship. The night came and he couldn't sleep properly and decided he would take a nightly stroll to the owlery. As he left the common room, he loved the atmosphere of the school that it made him feel at peace and saw many students playing and leaving to their common rooms, but he continued with his peaceful stroll. He was about to reach the owlery and was starting to feel tired, but he greeted all the owls and fed all of them and was about to go down until he saw something in the nearby The Forbidden Forest, he couldn't see it properly, but he could hear what was happening. He heard a sound of whoosh from the trees, and it was quiet for a second until a scream was let out. He started to see students running away from the forbidden forest, but the dark figure was faster and caught those students and was going near the school killing every single student it saw. Albus covered his mouth and laid in the wall trying to not make a sound and waited for a few hours until he couldn't hear anything at all and ran back to his common room and tried to sleep again but he couldn't. The next morning Albus found himself in the Hospital wing because His dorm mate called the House prefect as he found him in his bed, eyes wide open and had a very high fever that the prefect had to cast a sleeping charm on him. Everyone gathered in the hospital wing to check on who was the victim, but they all found themselves being punished. When Albus woke up he found himself surrounded by his cousins, Hugo and Selene were playing with each other, Willow and Esau were reading, Rose and James were sleeping and all of them did not know he was already awake. As he sat down and said, "How long was I asleep?" "4 days" said Esau but he did not know who he was talking to but Albus was shocked but everyone turned their attention to him and they immediately hugged him screaming "ALBUS!!" and they all rambled questions that he couldn't understand who was talking but he gave a fun smile since he liked it and that it reminded him of when they were younger when they all were quarreling that no one can understand who was quarreling with who until Rose shouted "ENOUGH! Albus won't be able to hear anything if we all tell everything all at once, do this one at a time." Albus gave a grateful smile, and everyone gave their questions. "What happened?" "How did you get sick?" "Why are we all here?" "Why is your hair so messy?" and everyone looked at Selene for the weird question "What? You can't blame me! It looks like he didn't comb his hair the whole year." Everyone ignored it but returned looking at Albus who was looking gloomy all of a sudden and Willow looked at Albus with concern "You can tell us you know; we are your cousins but if you are not ready, we can wait for tomorrow." Albus was thinking about it and there was a long silence until he broke it "I think I can do it Willow" "So the night before I got sick I tried sleeping and just took a walk to the owlery and when I was finished there was something dark" "Dark?" questioned Rose "Yeah and it was silent until there was a horrifying scream and it's so hard to keep my mind off" Albus was starting to shake, and Willow had to hold his hand for him to keep talking "There were so many students running away from it that the dark figure killed them all." There was a long and deafening silence in the air that no one wanted to talk about killing. Albus continued "I stayed up all night that must've been why I got sick that my body couldn't handle the situation" it was silent again until the daughter of Madam Pomfrey, Dr. Sabrina Pomfrey came out "I am sorry, but I need everyone to leave since the patient needs to take his medication and needs more sleep." Everyone was annoyed that they had to leave but they couldn't do anything and left. Rose talked to James and told him "I have a theory." and he was curious about "The dark figure that Albus talked about, I think it might be the Obscurial from last Halloween" James knew after what his brother told him, he had to find that figure. Albus went back to sleep for the next few days and was visited by his cousins who checked on him.
