Five years passed since I became Rin Shigaraki. As Doc predicted, my winged quirk - which I named Fallen Angel/Angel for its black and white angel-like appearance - grew in both size and timespan. The bigger my wings get, the longer I can use their abilities without feeling like dying. I can also fly, having first trained in flying by myself before practicing on carrying people. Father said it's useful for when I need to get off the ground or make a quick escape with Nīsan or any other allies we may get.
However, one day, Father didn't return home. Nīsan and I became anxious and worried, and just as Father taught me, I had all of our necessary things packed in case we had to go on the run. We didn't have to leave, though. A strange man in a suit came into Nīsan's room, where we were hiding and waiting for any news. As soon as he entered, I switched into my semi-shadow form, which was Kuro/Kaida partially enveloping me to cover my head, hands and feet. I stood in front of Nīsan, who sat calmly on his bed as I held up my claws defensively. I knew he was prepared to back me up if I began to struggle, which reassured me yet made me more determined to keep him out of the fight.
"Who are you?" I demanded to the wispy purple man. He bowed to me respectfully though, making me pause in surprise. "I am Kurogiri, Rin-san. I have been sent by All For One and Doctor Garaki to look after you and Tomura-san in their stead." Kurogiri explained formally. "What happened to Sensei that he had to send you?" Nīsan questioned as I relaxed enough for Kuro to return as my shadow, having sensed through his shadow that Kurogiri wasn't lying. "I believe it would be better for Doctor Garaki to tell you himself." He said before some of his wisp spread out onto Nīsan's desk. It pulled away after a second to reveal a box TV, the black screen having codes at the top left and bottom right with 'Sound Only' in purple in the middle.
"Hello, Rin, Tomura. I see you've met Kurogiri." Doc's voice came from the TV. "Doc, where's Father? What happened?" I questioned as I took a step toward the TV. "He's here with me. I'm afraid I can't tell you our exact location, we have to have some safety precautions. I'm sure you understand, Rin." He told me. "All For One got into a fight with his quirk counterpart, One For All. Its user, All Might, badly injured him, so he's currently under treatment and rehabilitation. He's still recovering, so I'm not sure if he'll be able to speak to you-" "Now, now, old friend. I can at least handle small talk for now." Father interrupted Doc, and I touched the screen in attempt to reach him.
"Father, are you okay?" I asked. "I'll be alright. I won't give you the terrible details, but I'm in Doctor Garaki's good hands. He'll take care of me, and in the meantime, Kurogiri will take care of you in my place." He reassured. "He can't possibly help us like you can, Sensei. I want to get stronger. I need to get stronger so I can reach my goal." Nīsan firmly said. "I will still be able to guide you, Tomura-kun, I'll just be speaking to you through this device. Kurogiri will be acting as your guardian, to watch over you and assist you with whatever you need." Father replied.
"Father, please, can't I go to you? My Angel quirk is stronger than before. I can heal you so we could be together again-" "There's no need for that, Rin. My injuries are somewhat severe, so you may not be able to heal me completely. I'd rather you save your energy for helping your brother than wasting it on me. Besides, I want the two of you to be the next leaders of this world like how I was. You have to get stronger first, so you have to focus on your training, alright?" He interrupted me. I began crying, conflicted between wanting to help him and obeying his wishes. To my dismay, the urge to obey was stronger and more compelling, like it always is.
At that moment, my emotions switched from conflicted despair to resolve and vengeance. "Okay, Father. We'll get stronger, and once we do, I will avenge you by killing All Might." I told him darkly, seeing Kaida's red eyes reflecting back at me on the TV screen. "How kind of you, Rin. Thank you." Father chuckled. "Now, Rin, Tomura, we'll speak to you again another time. All For One and I have to resume his treatment." Doc spoke up. "Take good care of him, Doctor, or you'll have me and Nīsan to deal with." I ordered in a slight threat. "Of course, Rin. Take care." He replied, and the TV remained silent after that. I turned to Nīsan in determination. "C'mon, Nīsan, if we're going to kick some ass, we need to get stronger! So let's go train!" I told him while raising a fist in the air, then marched off to the training room. "Rin, language! You're 10 years old and too young to be cursing!" I heard Kurogiri shout. "I don't care, I'm pissed off right now and in the mood to destroy something!" I yelled back in anger.
