Sunday Hang Out

I groggily opened my eyes and yawned when I woke up. "When did I fall asleep?" I quietly wondered as I sat up and rubbed my eyes. Kuro then reminded me of last night, and I blushed in frustration and embarrassment. I had grumbled profanities and insults at Hawks after I heard him leave, but after a moment, I began thinking about him. The last thought I had in my mind before falling asleep was how beautiful his golden eyes were, but that he was just beautiful in general. I slapped myself hard to get myself to snap out of it, my cheek stinging as I swung my legs out of bed.

Just as I was about to stand, I sensed Mineta outside my door, trying to be sneaky and peep into my room to watch me sleep. Everyone was still asleep, the sun barely rising and indicating it was around 6 am, around the time I usually wake up. I sent Kuro out to greet him in her wolf form, her teeth bared close to the doorframe. Mineta quietly turned the doorknob and carefully opened the door, but right as he cracked it open, Kuro snarled and snapped her teeth at him, making him scream and shut the door before running away in terror.

I laughed as I got up, Kuro coming back to help me as she changed to her human form. "Good job, Kuro. That was great." I chuckled as I high-fived her, and she chuckled as well. "That should keep him away from our room, now." She agreed as she guided me to my dresser. I opened the drawers up and saw they were mostly empty, the top drawer only having some socks, plain sports bras and underwear, and the drawer below it had the school's loaner gym clothes. I remembered Papa saying that he'd buy me new clothes, and the others had already made a list of what he should get me. I had also given him the list of furniture and decorations for my room before he left last night. He told me everything should be here by tonight, and everyone offered to help me set up my room when they heard that.

I decided not to change just yet, remembering that I still had to clean the dorms today as part of my community service, and sighed as Kuro handed me my crutches. "How the hell am I supposed to do this when I'm still weak?" I muttered. Kuro didn't answer, and just returned as my shadow. I brushed it off and hobbled out of my room, wanting something to eat and drink before I started my cleaning.

After I successfully went down the stairs without falling and breaking my neck, I slowly went to the small kitchen the dorms had. I opened the fridge and sighed again when I saw they were low on supplies, deciding to just grab an apple and a bottle of water to tide me over until lunch. I've gone without eating an actual meal before — this was nothing to me. With my snack and drink in hand, I hobbled to the couches, and plopped down before setting my crutches beside me. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion when the tv in front of me suddenly turned on, the screen flickering black and white as static sounded from the speakers, then it suddenly turned off as I heard everyone coming down the stairs. 'That was weird...' I thought as I looked back at them.

They all wandered about, some of them going straight to the showers while a few others went to the kitchen. Izuku yawned into his hand as he walked slowly to the showers, but jolted a bit when Katsuki went up behind him, grabbing the back of his neck and forcing him to move faster. Mina, Ochaco, and Tokoyami were the only ones who didn't go to another room. Instead they spotted me and went to sit with me, the girls smiling at me a bit sleepily while Tokoyami still looked half asleep. "Good morning, Nara. Did you just wake up, too?" Ochaco greeted, and I nodded as I took a bite from my apple. "I woke up a couple minutes ago and scared the crap out of Mineta when he tried sneaking into my room." I told her, making her giggle as the three of them sat down. "So that's what that screaming was." Mina said before yawning.

I nodded before noticing that Tokoyami was staring at my apple, tired but a bit longing and hungry. "Kuro, can you get one for Tokoyami?" I asked as I raised my apple a bit, and she slid off the couch from under me before rising in her human form. "On it." She agreed with a nod before speeding off to the kitchen in a black blur. The girls and Tokoyami jumped a bit when we heard slight shouts and screams from the people in the kitchen, but I just chuckled in dark amusement. Kuro then came back with an apple in hand, and gave it to Tokoyami, who looked at it in surprise. "Here you go." She said before returning to me. "Thank you, Nara, Kuro." Tokoyami told us, and I nodded in response before taking another bite of my apple.

"Well, that woke me up." Mina commented in slight shock. "What're you guys doing up so early, anyway? Today's Sunday — isn't it your day off?" I asked. "Yeah, but we're used to getting up early for our classes. Most of the class is going to check on their family and neighbors that were brought to the school for shelter, and the rest of us are either just gonna hang out or study for when school starts up again." Ochaco explained, and I nodded, frowning a bit in envy. Papa and Uncle Mic were probably busy, my mom was dead, my new neighbors were going to be busy, and my old friends in the League probably hated me now.

"What're you going to do, Nara?" Ochaco asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. "I'm gonna do my chores first, then maybe try to build up my body strength again if I'm not already dying by then." I told her, joking a bit about how weak I am now, and Mina perked up. "Oh! Well, we can help you with your chores if you want! Then afterwards, we can just hang out instead of you training!" She offered cheerfully, and I frowned again. "I'm pretty sure Aizawa and the principal don't want anyone helping me with my chores. Also, I can't hang out with you guys. I need to get my strength back before All For One and the League decides to attack us." I told her, but she pouted at me. "Remember what you said? It's Sunday and our day off. You're a member of U.A. High School now, which means you get a day off, too." She replied stubbornly. "As for the chores, I'm sure Aizawa-sensei and Principal Nezu will be pleased that we're getting along and working together with you. Let us assist you with your tasks, Nara." Tokoyami added, and I sighed in slight defeat. "All right. But you guys only get to help me on Sundays — you'll be too busy with your other tasks the rest of the week." I compromised, and they nodded in acceptance.

After Tokoyami and I were done with our apples and I drank my water, the two of us went around collecting trash that was left by the other 1-A students — or, at least Kuro did since I couldn't bend down without falling — while Ochaco wiped down the windows and Mina vacuumed. Tokoyami's Dark Shadow decided to come out and race Kuro to see who could collect trash faster, so Tokoyami and I stayed at the bottom of the boy's and girl's wing stairs respectively as the two dark quirks raced. Him and I betted who would win, the both of us choosing our own quirks because we were biased like that, but I added that Kuro would win because unlike Dark Shadow, she can detach herself from me to move freely.

As our quirks raced, I watched the girls clean, and chuckled at Mina, who was dancing a bit and humming while she vacuumed. Ochaco decided to use her quirk so she could float up and clean the top of the windows. I wondered how I was going to do that when they were away in classes, and figured I could use Kuro or just copy Ochaco's quirk.

We were all soon done, Kuro and Dark Shadow zooming past us as they dragged the trash bags outside to the bins. I laughed when Dark Shadow went too far and started pulling Tokoyami with it, making him let out a startled yelp. I sat down in one of the dining chairs as the girls put their cleaning supplies away, and watched with a triumphant smirk as Kuro came back to me pleased while Tokoyami was frowning at his loss. "Sorry, Fumikage." Dark Shadow apologized tearfully, and Tokoyami pet it's head. "It's alright, Dark Shadow. We'll try training your speed and distance this week." He told it before it went back inside him. He then handed me 3010 yen, making me grin as I pocketed it.

"Okay, so what should we do now? Hang out in one of our rooms? Take Nara on a tour of the school? Oh, we can introduce you to our families!" Mina listed off, getting more excited as she and Ochaco joined us. "If you think your families won't mind, I can meet them, but I'll probably get tired if we tour the whole school. We can hang out in our rooms afterwards." I suggested, and they nodded before leading me out of the dorms. We didn't notice the tv turn on again while we were cleaning, or that it turned off when we left.

Skeptic closed his laptop after disconnecting from the 1-A dorm tv, the remaining League members watching from behind him. "So, Rin decided to join the heroes? She must really be lost if she thinks they'll trust her." All For One chuckled as he spoke through Tomura, who was resting on a chair within their hideout. "Dabi, go speak to her. Try to convince her to come back to us. If she won't listen to you, use this. Rin will listen to me." He ordered as Dabi got up, and he grinned as he handed the burned man a radio. Dabi nodded before leaving, but the others looked upset. "It feels like everything isn't going our way. How did this happen?" Spinner questioned sullenly. "First we lose Jin, now Rin betrays us? Why?" Toga added, clenching her fists and glaring at the floor in hurt anger.

"Rin..." Tomura murmured when he finally gained a bit of control. "Don't worry, Tomura. Your sister won't be gone forever. She'll be by your side again soon." All For One reassured as he took over again, grinning darkly. "And once she is, I'll be sure to condition her again."
