“So today I have to go in for a meeting.” I told Courtney once I grabbed a shirt and put it on.

For some reason today I have to go talk to our head guy at management; alone. None of the others were called in to go, which is what I found odd but it’s probably so they could talk to each of us alone or something.

“Okay, I think I am going to head to Louis, I really need to get him back for the other day.” She laughed as she found a pair of skinny jeans and shoes.

“What no heels today?” I teased. She’s always in them so seeing her in Vans really was a surprise.

“Shut up. I’m not feeling the heels today and besides I’m not going to be doing anything important today.” She said as she stood up. I’ve never noticed but she’s really short. She barely reaches my chest when she’s wearing flat shoes. I think she noticed what I was thinking about because she stuck her tongue out at me and walk down the stair and into the kitchen.

“What would you like for breakfast?” I heard her yell.

“Eggs, bacon, and toast please.”

She didn’t say anything so I guess she got to work.  I finished getting dressed and walked over to the balcony that was attached to our room.  The wind was blowing, which was just a bit chilly.

We had a pretty good view of some of London; it was truly breath taking. I think this is one of the reason’s we actually bought this house, that and because it was close to the boys.  Courtney wasn’t too happy that we were close to them because they would always sneak into the house with the key they had made for the four of them plus the girlfriends but finally she figured it out that it was actually a pretty good idea that they had them in case something happened.

“Niall?”

I snapped out of my thoughts and turned to see Courtney standing in the door looking at me.

“The food’s done.” She said as she walked back into the room. I followed her downstairs to see two big plates of food sitting at the counter.  Both plates had the same amount on them. We sat down beside each other and ate in peace.

We don’t get peace often because the boys are always with us or something so it was something we took in. When we did finis breakfast, I headed back upstairs to grab my phone and keys. I walked back down to Courtney. She had her jacket and keys in hand.

“I have no clue what time I’ll be back but I’ll call you okay?”

“Okay babe, If you need me I’m at Louis.” I nodded and led her out to her car. She hopped in and I gave her a kiss before walking over to my own car. She pulled out first and turned to the left while I went to the right.

The building wasn’t that far from me so it was a short drive.  The parking lot was basically empty so I pulled into one that was closer to the entrance.

I got out of the car and walked into the deserted place. Megan, the receptionist, stood up quickly upon my entrance.

“Mr. Horan, Andrew has been expecting you.” She said and proceeded down a hall; I followed until we got to the elevator that would take me to his office.  I walked into the elevator alone and waited as it slowly went up. My phobia was coming out as it grew slower and slower and the walls seemed to get smaller.

Once I heard the ding and the elevator opened up I raced out and enjoyed the feeling of having space around me. When my breathing slowed I walked down to Andrew’s Office and took a deep breath.
