Six Years Later

“Lilianna Renea’ Horan.” I scolded the six year old who was currently picking on her younger sister. She turned to me and gave me a pouty face that would put her dad’s to shame.
“Be nice to Maddie.” I picked up the crying two year old and softly rocked her in my arms. She slowly stopped her cries so I figured I could get her to take a nap now. “I’m sorry mommy.” Lili said softly, her blue eyes shining bright.
“It’s okay Lili but how about you go find Liam and Jacob and play with them until I get your sister down for a nap, yeah?” She nodded her head, making her straight brown hair go everywhere then ran upstairs to play.
Jacob is Louis’ and Eleanor’s oldest son he is five and then they have a daughter, Grace, who just had her first birthday the other week. Louis was like a kid in a candy store when he found out that their first child was a boy, saying now he can have his soccer star. Soon after Jacob was born they both thought it fit to get married, of course they waited some time for it and that’s kind of how Grace came about. She was their honeymoon present but she’s the best little girl for them both; acts just like Louis and his sassy side.
Liam and Ryleigh were married a few months after Liam and Lili were born. They waited some time before having their first child, which is a boy, Andrew James Payne. He is four and every bit of a doll. Liam and Ryleigh are definitely raising him right because he is very polite and has manners, not to say he isn’t a child because he can sure cause a mess if he wanted too.
Mia Elizabeth Malik, daughter to Zayn and Perrie. She is a ball of energy that’s for sure and some part of me is glad that the little three years old is theirs because I have a feeling she is hyper all night long as well. Perrie and Zayn actually are the only ones not married, Zayn’s proposed, but they want to wait some time before they actually get married.
The youngest lad of our group, Harry, is happily married to Hailey. They have no kids and don’t really have anything planned; they more let everything flow together; if they become pregnant than that’s fine but they’re also not, not wanting to get pregnant either. Whatever happens; happens.
As I thought I quietly sung a tune to the almost sleeping baby in my arms.
‘People say we shouldn’t be together, too young to know about forever

I jumped a little as I heard Niall’s voice come into Maddie’s room.
‘One touch and I was a believer, every kiss gets a little sweeter.
It’s getting better, keeps getting better girl.

His voice slowly fell away as he came over and placed a small kiss on Maddie’s head, full of blonde waves, before giving me a soft kiss on the lips.
“Let me take her and put her in bed.” He murmured on my lips. I pulled back and carefully placed the sleeping child in his awaiting arms.
I left him alone to let him have his time with her and then went to check on the other three children.
“Jacob, that’s my sister.” Liam, protectively, said to the younger boy who was giving my daughter a small flower out of a pot, which had the same ones in it. Jacob turned to Liam and replied with a small shrug.
“So, I thought the flower was pretty and it reminded me of her.” I smiled sweetly at his response and shook my head softly. If Louis and I ever became In-laws I think I’d go crazy, maybe not.
“Yeah well if you hurt my sister I’d have to kick your butt.” I gave a small laugh that was cut off by Niall whispering in my ear.
“I can see I am teaching him well.” I nodded my head then turned to face him. “That you have but if he’s this protective over Lili think about how he’ll be over Madeline.” He smiled that crook smile I fell in love with.
“If either of them grows up to be as pretty as their mom then it won’t be Liam that has his hands full.” I gave him a sweet on the lips only to be interrupted by children.
“Ewwwww.” They chorused together. My head turned to Niall.
“I guess only time will tell.”
It’s hard to indicate where this journey will take all of us but knowing that I have my best friend right beside me makes this bumpy ride worth every moment.
