EM POV
Uncle Bang drove me to the hospital himself. I kept trying to tell him I could just take a taxi, but my words kept slurring and he just looked at me. I sighed and just resigned myself. We arrived at a large private hospital, but I couldn't read the name because my eyes kept blurring. As we stopped in front of the emergency entrance Uncle Bang ran around the car and opened my door.
The sunlight was too bright, and I groaned, closing my eyes.
"Em?" I heard Uncle Bang say worriedly. I didn't answer and just tried to close my eyes against the sunlight. "Don't, the medic said you can't close your eyes!" He shook my shoulder a little. I groaned again as it hurt my head.
"Oh, please stop Uncle Bang," I muttered. His hand left me and I heard him hurry away. I leaned my head back further on the headrest of the seat angling away from the sun. I felt myself closing my eyes when I light was shined in my eyes.
"Aish!" I muttered trying to pull away from the light.
"Miss Jones, don't pull away," I gruff voice said. As the light was withdrawn I focused my eyes on the man in front of me. He was wearing a long white coat and blue scrubs.
"Dr. Kim, she was knocked down and hit her head on the ground," Uncle Bang explained, hovering behind him. The doctor turned around and waived for the nurses behind him to come forward.
"Miss Jones, you need to keep your eyes open for us." The male nurse said in heavily accented English. I groaned in response as they helped me stand up.
"She is also a diabetic," Uncle Bang informed them. One of the nurses took him aside carrying a computer tablet.
A few hours later and being poked and prodded, the doctor announced I have a concussion and slight swelling in the brain. This was why I was having trouble with speech, balance, and sensitivity to light. So, I would need to stay for observation for at least 24 hours to make sure there isn't additional damage.
"Why can't I go home?" I whined. I did NOT like hospitals. They reminded me of when my mom died. I was only six years old and I remembered everything. Uncle Bang just gave me a look. I pouted and crossed my arms.
"We let the company and other companies know about the situation. They have decided to give you a week to recover. If you need more then it will be decided then. Also, I let the school know you will be missing your Korean classes."
There was a knock at the door and Uncle Bang went to answer it. In came Ha Jun and Min Young. Min Young hurried over to me and took one of my hands.
"I'm glad it wasn't worse," She said, a wobble in her voice. I patted her hand awkwardly as Ha Jun was carrying a HYBE duffel bag, placing it down on the couch. Uncle Bang had gotten me a VIP room that was large, like the ones you see in the Kdramas on TV.
"I had Min Young pack you a bag," Uncle Bang told me.
"Thank you Min Young and sorry for the trouble," I whispered to her. She just shook her head at me.
"Now, I have to get back to the company. The staff here will keep a good eye on you," Uncle Bang said and Min Young squeezed my hand one last time before following him out. Ha Jun looked around the room, as if checking for dangers.
"Ha Jun oppa, what's wrong?" I asked him. I was laying inclined on my bed in one of those Korean hospital outfits. It was like a matching pajama set, where you match the other patients rather than your husband or boyfriend.
