Chapter 27

THIRD PARTY POV

EM had several days of tests to see how affected her brain was from the accident. For sure, she couldn't walk yet, but that was due to lack of use for over a month. She had a lot of muscle weakness and could even hold a pencil. Her father Theo and Siwon took turns feeding her, but she wouldn't let them help her in the bathroom. They kept the nurses on staff to help going to the bathroom and bathing.

Everyone other than Theo discovered that Em was a very shy girl. Her nineteen year old self was very different from the girl they loved, but they also found themselves growing find on her shy younger self.

Everyone was in the living room in her apartment one day waiting for a meeting with BangPD. He had an announcement about the internal investigation started by the Park Sae Jin situation. The members and her bodyguards, especially Siwon, were worried how she would respond to the discussion.

"Oppa, when is that Bang SiHyuk man going to arrive?" EM asked of Siwon. Everyone in the room froze to hear EM call someone 'oppa' in an intimate setting. Yoongi's heart hurt every time she treated Siwon like her boyfriend. Everyone agreed to play along so that EM wouldn't get hurt.

Siwon enjoyed every moment of finally having his love in his arms. He had everyone convinced that it was in her best interest to never mention the truth. He also convinced them to stay away in fear of hurting her. Siwon hated that EM couldn't remember her love for him, but he knew she only needed time.

"BangPD should be here soon," Jin answered. Even though they agreed to play along, but something didn't sit right with him. So, he did his best to get between EM and Siwon without being obvious.

"Oh, thank you SeokJinnie!" Everyone froze and looked at EM. She had never addressed them so informally, even before the accident.

"Oh jagi, did you want to change before the meeting so we can go straight to your physical therapy?" Siwon asked, trying to distract her. The boys were giving her puppy-love eyes and he didn't want her to notice.

"No oppa, I can wear this to therapy," EM said blushing.

THIRD PARTY POV/EM FOCUS

Lately, EM started to notice that when she spoke sometimes, the people around got sad or uncomfortable. She felt bad she couldn't remember these handsome friends. She also felt guilty towards her boyfriend, Siwon, because she often found herself looking at the handsome sleepy friend, Yoongi.

Whenever Yoongi got close to her, EM felt her heart start to race, but she would also feel very sad. EM was constantly confused and wished she could get her memories back.

"BangPD is here!" Namjoon announced, heading for the door and putting his phone in his pocket.

EM was sitting on a recliner and a blanket over her, seeing as the weather was colder. A small man wearing glasses followed behind Namjoon. He smiled when he saw EM. She just blushed at the attention and bobbed her head in a small bow.

"Hello EM! I'm so glad to finally see you now that you are awake! Okay, let me fill you all in with what's been going on," BangPD said. As BangPD updated them about some sort situation, EM realized it was about her. She kept getting worried glances from the everyone. Even her father, who ended up coming over and sitting on the arm of her chair. He placed a hand on her shoulder, giving it a squeeze once in awhile.

"So, EM wont have to testify. Her doctors will give their testimony as well as the CCTV footage will be played. She is trying to claim she accidentally knocked EM down the stairs. Theo, here, gave permission for the doctors to testify as Power of Attorney." EM nodded in agreement. She was okay that her personal health records would be public, because it would be for a very good reason.
