EM POV
It was several months after I signed my new contract and things were going steadily. I had my time off and started the new contract. Yoongi and I had gone away together for the time it took for them to upgrade and combine the two apartments together. We went on a vacation to Jeju Island and enjoyed the quiet nature of the island.
After a year, we went for another vacation. We first went to Daegu and I got to meet his family. My father had shown up a couple of days later and hit it off well with Yoongi's parents.
I think his parents like me. I just can't tell and I was too scared to ask Yoongi. Towards the end of the vacation the rest of BTS arrived. Apparently that meant that their families were coming, too. Sitting on the bed in the guest room, I looked out the window at the courtyard below. There were several people just hanging out and spending time together. The guys were with their families, my dad was chatting with Namjoon's dad.
Sighing, I leaned forward and crossed my arms on the windowsill, laying my chin on them. Everyone was content and happy, and I should be, too. I pretty much have my memories back, got a new lucrative teaching contract, and a much higher pay. But, something was missing and I don't know what.
“Jagiya,” I sat up and looked behind me. Yoongi was leaning on the doorframe arms crossed as he seemed to have been watching me for awhile.
“Oh, hey Yoongi,” I smiled at him as he started to walk across the room towards me. He sat on the bed next to me and drew me towards him. I laid my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes.
“What is wrong, hmm?” Yoongi asked, running his hand through my hair. I relaxed as I felt his finger dig slightly into my scalp, giving it a small massage.
“I don't know, I feel like something is missing,” I said quietly and heard him hum in response, but didn't comment. We've worked on our communication and his hum was acknowledgement to my words, but not giving a comment. “Like is going well, things are getting better. We're better and I should be happy. But…” I trailed off.
“But you feel like there is something missing, something that would make it perfect?” Yoongi asked and I nodded my head. “I have to agree.” I heard him say and pull back. Worried that I upset him, I saw walk out of the room with tears in my eyes.
Frantic, I stood up and ran after him. I looked around the house but he seemed to have left. I went out into the courtyard and saw Yoongi's head just over the shoulders of Hoseok.
“Yoogi-ah, I-" I was cut off as everyone stepped away from Yoongi. His back was facing me, but I could see a slight shaking in his form. Worried that he was crying, I rushed up to him only to be held back by Seokjin and Hoseok. I looked at both of them in confusion, but they just gave me sweet smiles and a kiss on the forehead. Then, Jimin and Taehyung came forward and repeated the action. Jungkook and Namjoon finished the repetition. Even more confusing, my father walked towards me with tears in his eyes.
“I love you, my Emmeline, always,” he whispered in my ear before stepping back, joining Yoongi's parents. I turned to look back at Yoongi and my breath caught in my throat.
Yoongi was kneeling on the ground in front of me, a small box in his hand. Inside was a beautifully simple diamond ring.
“My noona, Em, Emmeline, sweetheart,” Yoongi began and I felt myself tearing up. I squeezed my hands together in anticipation. “I knew I loved you the moment I put my lips on yours.” I chuckled, realizing the moment it had happened was when we were at the airport when we first met. But then I felt shock, realizing he had loved me the moment we met.
