EM POV
Later in the afternoon saw me sitting at my desk in my office at HYBE. The boys had insisted that I get a ride with them, worried about my safety driving. I tried to tell them I would be fine, but secretly I had agreed with them. So, I allowed them to give me a ride. When we got close, I told them to drop me off a couple blocks away from the building because I didn't want their fans to see me. Understanding, they dropped me off at a coffee shop three blocks away.
As they drove away, I went inside the coffee shop quickly and got myself some coffee and a chocolate muffin. I was worried about getting low blood sugar again so I made sure to get a vanilla latte as well. After eating my muffin, I figured it was safe to head to HYBE. The day was cold, but it was okay because I was able to return to my apartment to get my jacket. Both Yoongi and Jin, as they insisted I call them, hovered close as I gathered my briefcase and jacket.
When I arrived at the building I was first glared at and accosted by the fans standing outside of the building. They had gathered around both entrances, with Security trying to encourage them to leave. When I moved to go around one of the groups, several of the girls and women glared at me.
"Excuse me," I said in Korean, but they chose to ignore me. Many of them pressing closer together in order to block the way more. Exasperated, I looked for the Security officers. One of them was looking my way and I held up my badge. He saw it and hurried forward, encouraging the crowd to move.
"This way," He said in English making sure to escort me to the doors.
"Yah, why does she get to go in?"
"Who the hell is she?" And several other comments were shouted at the Security officer. I turned to look at the angry crowd, anxious.
"Don't worry about them, they will forget about you once TXT or BTS leaves," The Security officer assured me as he opened the door for me.
"Thank you," I said quickly as I entered the building. I bypassed the front desk and scanned my ID to get through to the elevators. There were a few other employees around and when we made eye-contact, they bowed in hello. I bowed back.
I arrived at my office and sat my briefcase and coffee down. On my desk I noticed a framed picture. I picked it up to see it was a candid, non-professional photo of BTS eating at a restaurant. On the back was a sticky note.
"For our Noona, she will always see our faces! Love BTS." I read out loud. I chuckled at their cuteness as I examined the picture again. It was a recent photo and could tell that it was taken while they were in New York.
The rest of the afternoon had me pouring over curriculums for all companies and allowing for different English levels. As I took a break I stretched my arms up and thought about this morning.
My heart raced a little as I remembered how he held my chin in his hands and a strange look in his eyes as he said, "Anything for you." I was confused at what he meant. We barely know each other, and he has already done so much for me, but I can't imagine why. I looked at the picture on my desk and picked it up, running my finger over his smiling face.
"Em Noona!" I looked up, caught in the act. Jungkook was standing in the doorway, dressed casual with slightly damp hair. Shocked, I just froze there as he came into my office perching on the edge of the desk. He saw the picture I was looking at, and where my finger was.
"Oh, Noona, you like hyung?" Jungkook asked excitedly. I shook out of my surprise and quickly put the photo down.
"I have no idea what you mean. I was just cleaning a smudge off the glass," I said, glad that the mask I was wearing was hiding my blushing face.
