Human Rain (Gustholomule- Gus x Matt)

Sorry I have been away so long! So much has been happening lately and I can hardly keep up with it. Here is your next chapter:

Gus POV~ (They just fought possessed Hunter something I would like to call HELLNO)

This was it.

I took a step through the portal wondering if we would land somewhere I knew of or in a distant land far from the aisles.

Wow. I've never seen anything this pretty. The realm between worlds shown in hues of purple-y browns and almost-teal greens.

Just as soon as I had dived through the portal, I was pulled back into the other side. I was here, home. I looked up to see the place I knew so well be destroyed. It looked like somebody vomited glitter all over the place trying to make it prettier but still horribly failed.

Luz told us to split up and look for somewhere to set up seeing as it was late and we had no idea what could attack in this strange new place.

I set off and suddenly a pungent smell hit my nose. It could only be one thing:

A magical distress signal.

These were extremely illegal if not in terrible danger. I made a dash for where it was coming from, trampling bushed and creepy doll-like bugs.

I saw a figure unconscious in the leaf litter. I moved closer to the lump, from what could see it was a witch, they had meant scars and dark, tanned skin littered with freckles. I got even closer to observe their face.

I froze.

It was him.

Matt.

I quickly scooped him into my arms bridal style and rushed towards the faint voices of Luz and Camila discussing what rooms we were going to stay in, as Hunter decided that the castle ruins would be the safest option.

As I got closer Luz saw me, waving me over cheerfully with a small smile. That small smile dropped as soon as she saw who I was holding.

She carefully trod over to me looking down at the almost lifeless figure in my arms.

"Is that, Mattholomule?" She said, almost whispering the last part.

"Yes, and he needs help, I found him by following a magical distress signal, which if Eda taught you anything, is very serious," I reply.

"Well, I think we already have a room picked out for you if you don't mind sharing with Matt he could rest there until he wakes up. While looking around the ruins Hunter found Viney, Jerbo, and Barkus."

"Great, and is there any chance Viney might be willing to use some of her amazing healing magic to help Matt? I'll share a room with him but he is hardly breathing and is covered in injuries so I would like him to have medical help right away." I let out frantically. 

Luz just nodded and beckoned Viney over. With Viney analyzing Mattholomule every second, Luz led us all to where I would be staying. The room looked like it belonged to a coven scout previously.

I set Matt down carefully on the only bed in the room. (I know what you are thinking, STOP IT) While Viney was healing what she could of Matt's injuries, I took the chance to glance around what must have been an old scouts room. The walls were adorned with a blue that illusionists usually wore.

With a start I broke out of my haze, noticing that Viney had left almost an hour ago. (My dude was really thinking hard about the color of the walls) 

Though the noise that had startled me was the only other person in the room.

Mattholomule was waking up.

The covers on the bed started shifting.

I looked over to see his eyes open blearily.

"GUS?!?"
