Almost Like a Goodbye

Mattholomule POV~

Gus and I were back in our room, me rubbing his back and him trying to hold in tears. Although he knew it would happen, the realization of who really killed his mom and why bothered him.

His wings and mine had both dispersed, thankfully we had figured out how to control our forms and emotions that could revolve around them. I knew that Luz had left to save the isles yesterday and already havoc had ensued.

Occasionally green muck seeped through the floor. Then the building would shake.

It started again. This time, there were shouts and light was bursting through the sky.

Though we were in the castle ruins, the castle where the emperor stayed was further out, and that is where the action was. I felt something seep through my body and before I knew it, lights were floating around me. I thought it was quite pretty until I saw Gus looking at me in dismay.

I was vanishing. The green ooze was taking over my body and there was nothing I could do about it.

"Goodbye for now," I whispered, barely registering what had happened.

And then I was gone.

I awoke to a world of browns and teals, this, was what our kind knew as, 

The In-Between.

A/N

Ik this is short and confusing but it will all work in the end and I have a request.

If anybody is out there with media other than Wattpad, I hope that you could help promote this through anything from video to an art piece.

I do have suggestions and requirements though.

If you do post anything, be clear that it is not your own original storyline.

One idea I like is of somebody were to make an animatic or gacha vid of what they do when there isn't as much drama or invent a mini adventure for them to go on like looking for food to bring back or helping travelers etc.

Please at least try as this has been a dream of mine since I began this journey with ya'll.
