after a few days passed nymeria couldn't stop thinking about how lo'ak's birthday is in a month, meaning he should have a ceremony as well, since he is basically metikayina at this point.
i have talked to jake about it and he is okay with it as long tonowari agrees with it, and if lo'ak becomes one of us then i'll definitely be able to be with him without hiding anymore.
i knocked on the bamboo door of the chief's marui, luckily only tonowari was inside.
"come my child" he said with a warm smile, i smiled back entering walking up to him, stopping just a few inches.
"hi tonowari i was just going to ask if um.. well jake sully's son, lo'ak is soon to be eighteen in a month.." his eyes widen.
"oh! eighteen! that's the moat wonderful age right?" he chuckled, i followed but nervously "yeah um i was wondering if we can.. hold a ceremony for him? i mean he learned our ways, he has a soul brother and his family will stay here after all.."
i fidget with my fingers looking down, please say yes please.
"oh why didn't you say so my child? of course! after all that's why they came to us, their kids shall be one of us" he smiled putting his hand on my head like a dad.
i smiled widely "that's beautiful thank you tonowari!" he nod "of course, i will be talking to his family about this. we shall have a big party for him"
i nod excitedly before excusing myself leaving the marui.
i literally started screaming and jumping up and down at how happy i was.
i don't know where but tuk appeared next to me with a question look on her face "why are you so happy? what happened?" i just continued to jump and laugh.
i took my hands in mine so she could do the same.
she giggled as she started jumping too, aw tuk really has my heart.
"why are we so happy for?" neteyam popped randonly just like tuk "join us come!" i said between laughters taking his hand in mine, he smiled before taking tuk's in his other hand jumping with us.
now it was just funny seeing neteyam jumping and laughing with us, funnier is that he's nineteen too.
i love neteyam.
like a brother of course, i love how around his siblings he's acting just like a kid and jokes around but when he's around his parents he's all serious and the eldest kid.
i love how his soul is so pure and kind, and how soft and gentle he is around his family.
he knows exactly when to turn serious and scary for other's to fuck off.
me and him joke about that, i also love how he's so open with me like i've known him my entire life. he's so calm and smiley all the time almost.
while lo'ak is mostly grumpy, just because that's his resting face but he's so cute when grumpy.
