Just You and I

                                Chapter Six
(Time Skip)
Two weeks later
You went back to work every day for the past two weeks as the others packed. And they were all sad and scared to leave you by yourself. But you promised to keep a low profile and to be as safe as possible. They left with lots of hugs and farewells. You went back home after a long day at work, and hearing a thud from your room you stopped.

"What was that?"

Looking all around you picked up the bat by your door and started walking to your room. When you did you took in a deep breath. The door opened and you screamed as you swung your bat.

R: Ah!
"R-Raph?"

You opened your eyes to see Raph on the ground rubbing his head, like it would magically heal the spot you hit with the bat. Seeing him made you blush. You haven't seen him in so long, and you really did missed him. After he left you wondered if you were the reason why. You looked at him head to toe, taking him all in. Looking back up to his midsection you noticed a small muffin belly forming. Cause Raph ate and drank without exercise he gained some weight. And he was a little embarrassed by it actually. All his life he's been fit, and after six months without exercise, he gained weight. It didn't even make sense to him.

R: um...hello to you too? Ow...
"Oh my god! Raph! Sorry that I was so jumpy."

You ran up to him and dropped the bat as you helped him up and then hugged him making him smile and pat your back.

R: hey shorty don't worry about it, we'll call it even..
"(Sniffles) deal..."
R: hey what's with the tears?
"I never thought I was going to see you again..."
R: I'm sorry. I just needed to get away for a while...
"I know..."
R: where are the guys...I went down there and they weren't there.
"Oh shit right! They went to Tokyo with April,"
R: woah woah woah. They all left?
"Yeah."
R: and you stayed here because?
"Well, I missed out on a lot of work when I broke my arm and when I went missing so I had to stay. But I convinced them to go on without me."
R: so they left you here. ALONE.
"Yes?"

He was so mad, they left you here alone after you had gotten kidnapped for three months! He got his phone and called Leo.

"Raph what are you-"
L- hello?
R: LEO!
L- Raph oh my god! How are-
R: YOU LEFT HER HERE IN NEW YORK BY HERSELF!
L- Raph-
M- dude you came home! Awe! I wanted to see you!
D- and we're sorry we left, but I built in a system into y/n's apartment before we left.
R: you did? Well it didn't work. I came in fine.
D- Raph I built it in so then the only people who can go in and out are the four of us, Splinter, April and y/n. I'm not dumb.
R: oh...(to you) did you know that?
"Yes, I did."
R: oh, well I'm still pissed.
L- we know.
M- but it's still glad to here your voice.
Ms- who are you boys talking to y/n?
L- (angrily) No, Raph. Got a problem with that?

Hearing that Raph's heart stopped, Leo's never gotten angry with splinter.

L- anyway Raph, we're going to be gone for a bit.
M- so call us everyday and message too.
D- how about maybe once a week, just say I'm alive.

You all laughed and they spoke for a few minutes when the call ended you went to the kitchen and got each other caught up over the past six months. You told him about April and he was happy that you finally had a human friend who was actually nice. Looking at you he smiled and blushed, this was his moment, the reason he came here.

R: y/n. There's actually a reason as to why I'm here...
"Oh? I'm not enough...that hurts"

He rolled his eyes and you laughed.

"What's up."
R: it's about what you said. About putting myself first and doing what I want to do.
"Right..."
R: and I...

He looked at you and you made eye contact for a moment. His throat became dry, his palms sweaty and he got really hot and his heart raced. He didn't want to hurt you. And you being together would be the worst thing he could do. Especially now that he weighs a bit heavier.
