I wake up in the hospital bed.

Everything around me is hazy.

In the corner of my eye, I see movement.

I expect to see Asher, but instead it's Alex- or Gabriel. A pang of disappointment echoes through my body.

He runs a hand through his golden blonde hair.

"Hey, are you okay?" he asks.

"Horses are unicorns without horns," I murmur. Why did I say that?

Gabriel's (I'm just gonna go with that) smile reaches his soft blue eyes.

His are like Asher's, except they seem more loving and sweet. Asher's blue eyes are piercing. They automatically send you a message of who he is: a passionate person with violent side. It's super sexy. Again, why am I comparing Asher to Gabriel?

"Someone's taken a liking to the morphine."

I smile.

"Where's Asher?" I question.

Gabriel's smile fades.

"He went to get some food for you, he'll be back soon," he says seriously.

I giggle and lean in to tell him a secret.

"Can I tell you something?" I whisper.

Gabriel nods.

"Of course."

I bite my lip.

" I think Asher is so attractive! Don't you? I mean his jaw line is so sharp and his eyes are like this perfect shade of blue and-" someone cuts off.

"So she's basically high, right?" Asher says closing the door behind him angrily.

"Oh, don't be melodramatic," Gabriel sighs,  "she needs the morphine."

Asher glares at him.

"Can you get out?"

Gabriel stands up to his height.

"Are you going to hurt her again? She wouldn't be in this pile of shit if it wasn't for you!" Gabriel screams jabbing a finger in Asher's face.

Asher looks down at the ground.

Gabriel scowls and leaves the room slamming the door shut on the way out.

Asher sits next to me.

I should probably be angry, but I'm pretty high on morphine.

Asher stretches and his blue V-neck tee-shirt lifts up to reveal a super attractive muscular chest.

Sexy, sexy soooooooooon, my brain screams.

Asher abruptly stops his stretching after reading that thought.

"Rose, are you okay?" he carefully asks.

I sight and rest my head on my fist.

"Can you take your shirt off? You don't take it off enough."

Asher chuckles.

"I'm going to talk to your nurse about your morphine intake levels," he says patting my arm.

I huff.

"No." I exclaim and then a new thought pops into my head," Do you like my hair? I dyed it darker! It's not as dark as yours, but it's close! Oh, and my nose piercing! Once I found out you were alive,I was really hoping you'd be into that, although I'm not sure that stuff turns you on..."

His eyes narrow.

"I knew you dyed your hair and started wearing makeup, but I didn't notice the nose piercing!"

He turns my head to get a glimpse of the morsel silver stud.

He finds it and sighs shaking his head.

My eyebrows furrow together.

"What do you think?"

"Rose- I don't really know about-" I cut him off.

"Tell me it turns you on!" I say with a stern edge.

Asher struggles to find words.

"It- uh- it-"

I grab his hand.

"Say it, or I'm gonna cry, really loud."

Asher smirks.

"Okay, it turns me on."

I take his face in my hands and kiss him and try to pull his body to the hospital bed.

"Rose, we can't do this," he says between kisses.

"Shhhh, take off your shirt."

I grab the hem off his tee, but Asher stops my hands.

"Rose, what if a nurse walks in or Gabriel sees us getting it on?" he hisses.

"We aren't going to get it on! Besides, I'm not doing any of that until I'm married."

Asher pulls back.

"Until marriage?" he says in shock.

"Yup," I giggle,"you have to wait until then, buddy!"

Asher shakes his head and smiles.

"Besides, I like your kissing more than Lucifer's!"

Asher's muscles tense.

"What?" he calmly asks.

Oops.

"Uh, when I was chained up, Lucifer kissed me and told him I was his and stuff..." I trail off.

Asher's eyes go wide as golf balls.

"I'm going to kill him!" He screams.

I try to calm him down.

"Asher! Stop it! I'm not his, I'm yours!"

Asher shakes his head.

"For now, when you get off that morphine, you'll hate me again for being a stupid ignorant dick!"

I put my head in my hands.

Asher strokes my hair.

"I've found Rose, that I can give up my demon ways for you. I love you more than I love being a demon. I- I'm just so, so sorry!" Asher finished breaking into tears.

He presses he head into my stomach.

This is just too much for my intoxicated brain to handle.

I stroke his hair affectionately.

"I know you do. I love you."

"I want to be good for you so bad, Rose. I have to constantly cling onto your belief that I am good. I'm human now, but can I actually be human?" he says into my stomach.

I smile.

"You can be," I yawn," I know you can."

He lifts his head up. His hair is spiky and in all directions.

Very, very attractive!

Asher rolls his eyes and frowns

"Are you tired Rose?" he asks.

I let out another yawn.

"That answers my question," he breathes.

I sit back in my pillow and close my eyes. Asher's grip on my hand starts to loosen.

"Asher! Don't leave me," I say quickly with my eyes still close.

"Never," he says softly

"Never."
