Duck walked into the chapel crashing their meeting. Both Mariana and Clementine were held up outside, hidden until Duck returned.

"Kenneth! Where have you been, we've been calling on your walkie?"

"I just got the call. The dawned thing wouldn't turn on for shit. What is it?" Duck lied.

Clint answered. "We just got confirmation that Lonnie is dead and the prisoners are out. We don't know where they are."

"Shit! How'd that happen, I told you not to put him on guard yet!" He rubbed his past words in their faces. He had told them long ago that Lonnie shouldn't have been put to work, he wasn't ready.

"That's what we're trying to figure out..." Badger approached the boy.

"Anything you want to tell us?"

Duck stood his ground. "What're you getting at?"

"You have something to do with this?"

"Why would I? I have no tie to them."

Badger sneered. "But you have ties with Clem-"

"Badger enough." Joan spoke. "Kenneth has been a great team player. As far as people are saying he's been patrolling the streets, protecting our people..."

Badger stepped away from the boy.

"We have everyone on the lookout but they haven't seen anything."

Duck took a mental note. They didn't know about Clementine being gone, nor did they know about Max. He still had time.

"I'll be on the lookout for them. I'll let you know if I've seen anything."

Duck turned to walk away but was stopped by Clint. "Stay. Joan wants to tell you something important. You're gonna want to hear this."

The look in Clint's eyes looked genuine, but he also knew Clint had the most morals of them all. So he stayed to hear what she had to say.

"What is it?"

"It's about Aj." The room suddenly got thick with tension.

"I don't see why you're bringing him up right now-"

"He's not dead."

Badger face scrunched. "What? He's not what the hell!?" Cearly, he had no knowledge of this.

Duck stepped forward trying to control his emotions from hearing this new information.

"I figured you had a right to know, you've proved yourself to this community and we don't hurt our own."

"Wh-Where is he, so I can go get him."

Joan shook her head. "I'm sorry you'd have to ask Lingard. He's the one who was put in charge of the boy, he just left."

Duck didn't allow her to say much more before he made his way out of the chapel.

The night was still young, and the moon was the only source lighting their path. Clementine and Mariana shuffled quietly behind him.

"We're heading to Lingard. I have new information." Duck signed to the two quickly as they made their way through the dark streets. Soldiers were out on the street making their journey a bit more difficult than it had been before.

"They know your group is missing, and I'm sure it won't take long for them to find Max and realize Clem is missing too. Time is running down quicker than I expected."

Clementine and Mariana glanced at each other before Clem began signing back. "Then what are we doing out here? We had all of those bastards in one place, we could have ended this already."
