Duck looked down at the marked grave of one of his dear friends. He couldn't help but feel anger knowing that his friends had died right next to him and there was nothing he could have done about it.

The shot was so fast he didn't have time to see who pulled the trigger before he was off running to her. Faintly hearing someone on the other side screaming about no one else needing to die.

He felt different.

The people on the other end of that damned fence. The ones who had stolen from them, and took his dear friend, they would feel his vengeance.

"I promise you Ava, I'll avenge you." He left a rose on her grave before turning away. He marched past the people of their community scowling at anyone who dared get in his way.

There was only one place he needed to be, to get the answers he needed. He stormed down the busy streets, a frown evident on his face. People in his way stood clear afraid of the consequences should they be the reason he had to slow his pace. Sweat accumulated on his forehead, some slowly trickling into his eye. It stung a bit, but he ignored it, a part of him wanted to feel the small pain.

He threw the door open to a dingy building, the door slamming harsh against the wall behind it. The sound echoed down the halls, startling some of the few prisoners that resided down there. There was no source of light, the windows had all been boarded up with wood rendering the place in pure darkness. It worked as a tactic for getting what they wanted, and though some people came out a bit lost in the brain they tended to be useful for the community.

Duck marched toward a specific room ignoring the pleas of the other prisoners. He was a boy on a mission to avenge the death of his lost friend, and put an end to the unlucky bastard who had killed her. He reached for the keys that hung on the wall using them to open the door. It creaked loudly, startling the person inside. Duck reached for the string connected to the light that hung on the ceiling. A dull light lit the small room revealing the new guy they had drugged in recently.

"Javier right?" The boy squatted in front of the man, the scowl still on his face. Javier looked up at him, his long hair over his eyes. He reached to push his hair from his face, the chains attached to his wrists jangling from the small movement.

"That would be me."

Duck spoke through clenched teeth, "Some shit just went down between my group and that cousin of yours." Javier looked shocked, but then again he should have known that Mariana would come for him, and go back for Gabe. She had never been the type to leave the ones she loved behind.

Ducks fists clenched trying to control his bubbling anger. "You lied to me. You said there was only two other people in your group, the girl and the boy-"

"What? I didn't-... There's no one else."

Duck growled, "Bullshit! There's more, my friend is dead because of them. I trusted you to tell me the truth!" He wanted to hit him, to inflict pain upon him like he knew the others would. But honestly he wasn't one for torture, and he couldn't bring himself to do it no matter how angry he was. "Just tell me because once the others get wind of this I assure you they won't be as nice as me!"

Javier sat up, his back scratching the brick wall behind him. "I am telling you the truth! She must've met them out there, I have no reason to lie!" His eyes pleaded with Duck to believe him. "Plus Mari isn't even a killer, she only fights when she has to."

Duck simply stared forward not believing a word that came from his mouth. Maybe his judgment was clouded by his anger or he had simply stopped giving a damn, either way he was done listening to Javier speak. He had given him his trust once, and he was starting to regret it. After everything he should have known better. "Whether you lied or not, that cousin of yours is in some shit and I promise you someone's gonna put a bullet in her if you don't start talking to me."
