IT HAD BEEN multiple hours since Kxilyä passed out. 14 hours, to be exact.

They were sure she was alive, however what they weren't sure of was if she would wake up. She had lost a lot of blood, and her skin looked pale.

Lo'ak sat by her side for all of the hours. He couldn't sleep, and he couldn't eat. All he could do was wait for her to wake up.

Neteyam and Tuk had come to visit him. Every two to three hours they came to check on him. Neytiri and Jake had decided to tag along with them, as they stood in the back of the room and watched.

Tuk picked up Kxilyä's hand, placing it on her cheek as a tear rolled down her face. Neteyam sat beside Lo'ak, as they waited in silence.

Lo'ak had been numb, staring at Kxilyä's unconscious body. He picked up the wet cloth, dragging it along her forehead as he wiped off the dirt and sweat.

Lo'ak inspected her face, feeling a deep ache in his chest. He couldn't cry anymore. He'd been crying for the last long hours, and there had been no more tears to cry.

Kxilyä's face grimaced, as her eyes fluttered open. Lo'ak felt his heart pick up, as he let out a sigh in relief.

' Kxilyä! ' He exclaimed, dropping the cloth on the floor. He wrapped his arms around her, his face burying into her hair as he let out a breathy laugh.

' Ow. ' Kxilyä groaned simply, but was cut off by Lo'ak kissing her roughly on the lips, his hands cupping her face. She kissed him back, too weak to care about the reactions of the people around her.

He smiled against her lips, tears of joy clouding his vision as their foreheads touched together. She breathed in the moment, her pain subsiding as her mind was distracted.

' Okay, I'm glad your awake Kxilyä, but what the fuck was that? ' Jake's demanding voice called from behind.

6 MONTHS LATER.

The war had gotten worse. The sky people had settled back into their old base, and their operations were still going strong.

Kxilyä's leg had fully healed, and she could finally walk. Well, walk without protest from everyone else. She had been able to walk for the past month, but everyone had thought it was too early.

' Neteyam, I'm fine! ' She grumbled, pushing him off as he ran over to hold her up. ' I can walk on my own. '

Neteyam hesitated, looking her up and down. ' Are you sure? '

She nodded. She was tired of constantly needing help, and she wanted to do things on her own. The past 6 months she had been surrounded by people babying her, and Kxilyä's didn't like it.

Although her leg had fully healed, she still had a limp, and the wound ached at every step. She refused to show it, however. She had to show that she was ready to fight again.

' Okay, whatever you say. ' He raised his hands in defeat. ' We're going to go scouting. Do you think your ready to ride again? '

Her face lit up. ' Yes! 100%. ' She smiled, ' With who? '

Neteyam shrugged. ' Just Mom and Dad. '

Kxilyä nodded. Lo'ak, Kiri, Tuk and Spider had dissapeared off somewhere, and she didn't know where they could have gone.

' Neteyam! ' Jake called from across the platform, as his ears pricked up and he turned, ' We're leaving now. '

Neteyam nodded. ' Kxi's coming too. ' He called out, as Jake stopped in his tracks.
