THE PAST COUPLE of days had been boring. They consisted of Quaritch explaining the new operations, and hanging out in the boring cell-like room.

But today, however, was different. Today, she finally got to go back outside, to the forest once again. And as she stepped onto the land, she couldn't help but feel grateful.

She wished she was experiencing it with the Sully family, however.

Kxilyä ran through the trees, laughing while she breathed in the comforting air.

' Hey! Don't go running off, now! ' Quaritch yelled from the ground. She ignored him, jumping down from the tree and into the river below.

Kxilyä closed her eyes, letting the sounds of the wildlife around her overwhelm her. The sounds of the river beneath her, the chirps of animals around her, the sounds of trees swaying in the wind was all that was important to her at the moment.

Kxilyä dragged a hand in the water. The water had felt different then in the ocean. It felt colder, and more fresh.

Kxilyä reluctantly opened her eyes, welcoming her surroundings back around her. Her eyes landed on the squad of avatars, as her face dropped.

She had remembered the reality.

Kxilyä stepped back out into the land, sighing while she walked along Spider. Spider didn't seem to care that they were back in the forest.

The helicopters blades behind them slowed, turning into nothing. She looked back at the helicopter, watching as the pilot simply leaned back in his chair, waiting for the rest of them.

' Alright, stop here! ' Quaritch yelled, turning around. Everyone stopped in front of him, while his arms crossed on his chest. ' To survive here, we need people to see us as Na'vi. To do so, we go Na'vi. Full tilt all the way. That means we eat Na'vi, we sleep Na'vi, we think Na'vi. '

Quaritch took in a breath, ' And that starts with speaking like the Na'vi. ' he spoke in slandered Na'vi.

Kxilyä poked an elbow at Spiders ribs, laughing. ' You call that speaking Na'vi? ' she called out, ' you're horrible at it! '

Quaritch stared blankly. ' I dont comment on your horrible english, so shut your mouth. '

' True, but I don't have to rely on my capabilities of doing so. You do. ' Kxilyä pointed out, resting her weight on her good leg.

' Yeah, yeah, whatever. ' Quaritch chuckled under his breath, ' We'll be going up to the hallejuah mountains, and getting a banshee on our side. ' he smiled.

' You can't just get an Ikran, it's harder than you think. ' Spider jumped down from the branch, ' You'll be dead within five minutes. '

' We'll see about that. ' An avatar from the corner called.

A smile tugged on Spiders lips.

' Okay, back to the helicopter. ' Quaritch commanded, as the rest of the group turned. Kxilyä jumped down from the branch, landing on the soft ground. She smiled, taking in everything she could.

Her heart hurt to leave the forest again.

Kxilyä jumped up onto the ground of the helicopter, lending out a hand while she pulled Spider onto the helicopter. Kxilyä flopped onto the seats, holding onto the handle over her head.

Suddenly, the blades begun, as wind spun loudly around the machine. Her hair whipped with the wind, while she tightened her grip, and they flew into the air.

She determined that the helicopter was quicker than an Ikran, since they had reached the hallelujah mountains within a minute. She smiled as her eyes landed on the familiar terrain.

Quaritch was yelling over the sounds of the blades towards the pilot, giving directions to where they needed to go. The pilot nodded, turning the helicopter to the left.

They were headed towards the main area to where all the Ikran thrived, while they landed on an island near it. Kxilyä jumped out, landing on the rough surface.

The pain in her leg had never fully healed over, as she winced when a jolt of pain coarsed through her.

' Are you okay? ' Spider asked as he jumped out behind her.

' Why do people keep asking me that? I got impaled, and it's healed now. I'm fine. ' Kxilyä ranted on.

' Is it fully healed, though? ' Spider accused, while he gave her a blank stare.

She huffed, rolling her eyes. ' I'm fine. ' She repeated, walking on. She recognized the waterfall from when she had got her Ikran.

The squad walked through it, carefully stepping, being sure not to fall. Kxilyä waited for them to pass, before walking through with no worries.

Quaritch loaded his gun with a vile filled with a yellow type substance.

' Really? You're doing it that way? ' Spider stood up, his expression deadpan.

Quaritch faltered, ' It's easier. '

' There are Na'vi kids doing it the hard way. Are you really that weak? ' Spider laughed under his breath.

Quaritch hesitated, lowering his gun. ' Jake Sully do it the hard way? ' he asked in a half question.

Spider nodded. Quaritch narrowed his eyes, before throwing his gun to the side. Spider handed him the rope.

He inspected the rope, swinging it around a few times. ' So how do I do this? '

' Walk through. Once an Ikran chooses you, you use the rope and secure the Ikran down. Then make the bond as soon as you have a chance. ' Kxilyä explained.

' How will I know if it chooses me? ' Quaritch asked, taking a step forward into the pile of Ikran.

' It will try to kill you. ' Kxilyä smiled.

' Oh. '

Quaritch landed in the clearing, as multiple Ikran cried. His eyes scanned the different Ikran, his rope whipping behind him.

Then, one stood up, hissing at Quaritch. He did an attempt at hissing back, but it only sounded like a dying cat.

Kxilyä couldn't help but laugh. The Ikran snapped at him, barely missing, as Quaritch punched it.

Actually, punched the Ikran.

Kxilyä stared, confused. The Ikran seemed stunned, while Quaritch jumped onto its back. The Ikran and Quaritch tangled together, the Ikran attempting to throw him off.

' Make the bond! ' Spider called. Quaritch attempted to reach behind his head, before the Ikran flew up, and down into the air.

The area went silent. They waited a couple seconds.

' Well, that's that. ' An avatar shrugged, turning back towards the waterfall. Kxilyä sighed. Of course he wouldn't be able to do it.

But before she could turn, the sounds of wind whipped in the air, and Quaritch and the Ikran appeared from the rocks.

The avatars beside her yelled out, cheering him on. Quaritch laughed. Kxilyä suppressed a smile, her hands resting on her hips while her head tilted.

' Hell yeah! ' Quaritch cried out.
