' LO'AK, WAIT- ' KXILYÄ grasped his shoulder, stopping him from going outside the hut. He turned, his eyes searching hers.
' What is it? ' He questioned, his head tilting slightly
' If we... are like serious now, ' She hesitated, ' I need to know that I can trust you. ' Kxilyä spoke in a low voice.
' Have we not been serious for the past.. 6 months? ' He narrowed his eyes.
Kxilyä faltered. ' Well, yeah, but I meant.. ' She cringed, as she looked to the floor, ' After what just happened. ' She mumbled. ' I need to know that you won't hurt me. '
Lo'aks gaze softened, as he let out a sigh and pulled her into a hug. He nuzzled his face into her hair. ' I'll never hurt you, Kxilyä. You can trust me. '
He seem to have remembered her past relationship.
Her relationship with Rìhai, a local boy at hometree ended around a year and a half ago. They were together for 2 years before he cheated on her and broke her heart.
Ever since then, she had lost her ability to trust other people.
' Okay. ' was all she could say.
His hands found the indent of her hips, as he rested his arms. Lo'ak closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath.
' Are you decent? ' Neteyam's voice called out from outside the hut. Lo'ak growled against her hair, his grip only tightening.
' Uh- ' She called back, pushing off of him as she fixed her hair in an attempt to cover her lovebites. ' Okay. '
Lo'ak sighed, leaning against the wall as the family poured into the room. Kxilyä sucked in a breath, fixing her hair one more time. She stalked to the other side of the room, her gaze staring at the door.
Neteyam landed his eyes on Kxilyä, but he quickly adverted his gaze to the ground. She narrowed her eyes at him, but decided not to care. She adjusted her weight on her good leg, as conversation erupted in the room.
Jake faltered, ' Have you decided yet, Kxi? ' He asked, adjusting Tuk who was resting on his shoulder.
She hesitated, looking over to Lo'ak. When she met his gaze, and felt the familiar comfort that followed, she knew her decision.
' Yeah. ' She smiled, ' I'm coming with you. '
Lo'aks face lit up, as he ran towards her, picking her up while he laughed excitedly. Her legs wrapped around him, as she laughed at his reaction. He pressed his lips into hers, while she deepened it, tilting her head for a better angle, as Lo'aks hands squeezed the flesh of her ass.
They were only cut off by Jake clearing his throat, as she came to her realization, jumping down. She fixed her hair again around her neck. ' Sorry. '
A smirk tugged on Lo'aks lips, his hands lifting to brush her hair to the side before she swatted his hand away, scowling at him.
He laughed under his breath, enjoying teasing her.
' Okay, well, we're leaving tomorrow. ' Jake gave a brief smile, setting Tuk on the ground.
' Tomorrow? So soon? ' Kxilyä felt her heart drop, second-guessing her decision. She looked out the door, and at the wild-life, Ikran jumping from tree to tree.
She looked to the ground, her mind replaying memories of her childhood, and growing up in the area surrounding her.
' Kxilyä? Is that okay? ' Jake tilted his head, dropping the bag of things on the ground.
