*A few weeks later, New Years eve

The last few weeks had been a bit anxiety inducing for you, while you had become much more confident in yourself helping Terzo with service you worried that your father would come back. The ghouls tried to be reassuring, saying that if he ever came back they'd do all sorts of things to him. The most amusing suggestion was when Swiss and Sodo said they'd roast him like the pig he was, though you said that wasn't necessary. Copia had also been a great help in relieving some of your anxiety, currently, you sat with him in his office as you did your regular paperwork. You didn't notice but Copia was looking at you.

"Cara?"

You were so focused on what you were working on you didn't hear him, which he found amusing.

"Mi vita?"

Still no response, he had to stop himself from laughing.

"Carissima?"

You finally looked up which caused Copia to finally laugh.

"What's so funny?"

"Amore, that was the third name I used to try and get your attention. Is something on your mind?"

"I'm still worried about my father... I'm also trying to think about what I'm going to wear to the New Years party."

"Oh, that's right. I almost completely forgot about that."

You chuckle a bit, no matter how much you helped him, Copia was still a bit unorganized.

...

As the party loomed closer you looked in your closet for something to wear, when you thought you'd run out of options you noticed a bag sitting on the floor. You looked inside and pulled out the blue dress you had bought back during you little date with Copia.

"Perfect."

As you laid the dress out on your bed you heard a knock on your door, opening it, you see one of the younger members of the church.

"Sister Y/n?"

"Yes, may I help you?"

"I was sent by sister Maria, she needs some help with something."

"Alright, lead the way."

You followed them to the sanctuary where sister Maria was waiting.

"Oh good, forgive me for pestering you sister Y/n but theres someone here for you."

You tense a little bit, your heart begins to race as you scan the pews and find a familiar woman sitting near the back.

"No worries sister Maria, I'll see whats going on."

You walk towards the woman, she seemed a bit nervous and jumpy. You finally make it over to her.

"May I help you?"

She looked towards you, surprise appearing on her face as she examined you.

"Y/n?"

"Hello mother... can I help you with something?"

Your mother stood, coming towards you and taking your hands in hers.

"I just... your father had said he'd found you and I... are you alright?"

You didn't know how to respond, you weren't completely alright but you weren't awful.

"I'm... I'm doing better. Why are you here?"

"Well, your father wishes me to try and convince you to come home..."

She averted her gaze to one of the large windows.
