* A few months later

While you were happy to be carrying yours and Copia's children, you were also 110% done with being pregnant and being just past your due date wasn't helping. At the moment you were trying to find something even slightly active to do but no luck, no surprise that no one wanted the heavily pregnant lady to do things. To be honest, you knew many of them didn't want to face the wrath of the clergy if something happened and didn't blame them. You also knew that if you had to do any more paperwork you would lose your collective shit. You made your way to the chapel, surprised to see Secondo at the altar surrounded by many boxes.

"Hello Secondo."

Slightly startled, his expression softened when he saw you.

"Ah, hello sorella. Forgive me, I'm a bit frustrated at the moment."

"Oh, what's up?"

"We received a shipment of candles for the services and instead of being organized by size they're just thrown in all together. I now have to sort them so we don't have to go on a scavenger hunt every service."

"You could get some of the brothers or sisters to do it."

"I may or may not be avoiding some work Sister Imparator wants me to do."

"Fair... mind if I help you?"

"You don't have to sorella."

"Yes, but I want to. I need to do something other than paperwork and everyone else is too scared to let me do anything."

Secondo chuckled and walked into the back room, coming back with a cushioned chair and set it next to the altar.

"Very well then."

...

After a few hours you finally made it through the last of the candles. Secondo thanked you for your help and went off to do the procrastinated work he had from earlier. You decided, with nothing in particular to do you decided to go to the library. You were a little surprised to find Terzo in the restricted corner, reading one of the many tombs. He noticed you, flashing a smile while setting down the book.

"Ah, hello Mama. Glad to see you decided to grace me with your presence."

You let out a sigh as you plop down next to him.

"Good day to you as well Papa."

You both chuckle at the formalities. While you got along with all the Emeritus brothers, Terzo was definitely the one you had the most brotherly relationship with.

"How are you feeling? I'm sure you're due soon at this point."

"Yes, and while I'm happy and excited I'm also ready for them to come. I'm past my due date at this point."

Terzo pretends to be pained, you playfully hitting his shoulder.

"What have you been doing then?"

"I just finished helping Secondo sort candles. I've mainly been stuck on paperwork duty."

"No one is letting you do anything, huh?"

"No, I'm sure they fear the clergy if anything were to happen."

"True. The price you pay when you carry the Emeritus heir, and you technically hold two."

You sigh, leaning back. You would have been comfortable if pain didn't suddenly strike you, causing you to let out a little hiss in pain. Terzo, concerned, carefully hugged you around the shoulders.
"Sorella, everything ok?"

"I just had a shot of pain."

"Lets take you to the infirmary, just in case, si?"

You nod as he helped you up and walked with you out of the library.
