"Off you go. We will see you tomorrow at lunchtime," Aashiv says to Allegra, practically pushing her out of the house and towards my car.

"I don't understand. Why can I just come with you?" I hear Allegra ask Aashiv, her attempts at escaping my company fairly obvious, as she glances over at me standing by my car to see if I can hear her.

"Sorry, sweetie. Not enough space," Aashiv says, feigning sympathy as she keeps ushering Allegra forward. "We have a big party coming with us, so there's not enough room." The lies flow out of Aashiv's mouth with such ease that, for a moment, I feel sorry for Allegra.

The disbelief and desperation on Allegra's face almost made me laugh out loud. The only reason I am even entertaining this in the face of her reluctance is because of Aashiv's words to me earlier.

Seeing the caged look in Allegra's eyes just after I left her in my room this morning, I anticipated her move to flee, hastening my shower so that I could get downstairs before her. She wasn't going to leave without seeing me first. Selfishly, I wanted to make this hard for her. We had something she was too afraid to explore properly. On the verge of giving up, Aashiv sensed that feeling and confided in me that I should be patient and give Allegra time. While she didn't disclose the reason, she told me that this was the first time in three years that Allegra wasn't in tears on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Knowing she wouldn't risk their friendship by telling me why I didn't bother pushing for details. I also want Allegra to confide in me. When that moment comes, I will know that she fully trusts me.

Aashiv gives Allegra a big hug as I grab her overnight bag and drop it in the back before coming around to close her door. Aashiv winks at me conspiratorially before I climb into the car, her broad smile apparently irritating Allegra more as she swears under her breath. Her irritation leads her to pull on the seatbelt vigorously, the jolting causing the belt to lock in place.

"Why is this always happening?" She says quietly, closing her eyes as she gives up tugging.

"You're being too rough. Stop tugging on it like it's my dick," I say, leaning across her as I pull the seatbelt across her chest, purposefully grazing her nipple with the underside of my knuckles and causing her breath to hitch. I clip it in, her mouth still forming an 'o' in shock as she blushes a deep shade of red.

"Breathe, Allegra, I'm just joking with you," I say, turning the car on so that we can take the short trip to the company-owned private airport nearby.

Allegra doesn't say a word as she looks out the window, her thighs once again squeezing together as her breathing evens out.

We don't speak during the ten-minute drive, but the silence is surprisingly not uncomfortable.

"You own this airport," she states rather than asks as we drive through the entrance of the airport, pulling my vehicle up to the private jet, which is ready to fly us to Rosi Island, my private island located in the British Virgin Islands.

Her face morphs into shock, the question I am surprised she hasn't asked sooner leaving her lips. "Um, where exactly are we going?"

"My island. It's not far." Leaving her with that answer, I exit the vehicle, issuing instructions to the cabin crew to get the luggage from the back.

After checking with the captain that we are on schedule, I turn around, noticing Allegra still sitting in the vehicle. Maybe she is having trouble with her seat belt again. As I get to the passenger side of the vehicle, I notice she is taking a couple of deep breaths. Similar to when we arrived at the Christmas party at Aashiv and Ade's house. A type of coping mechanism for when she was nervous.

"Are you okay?" I ask her as I open the door, holding my hand out so she can take it.

"I'm fine. I just needed a minute to myself," she says, her brown eyes apprehensive as she takes my hand and climbs out of the vehicle.

"I don't like flying," she admits quietly as we walk towards the jet.

"There are ways I could distract you," I say, looking at her as she blushes, a small smile tugging at her lips.

We make our way onto the jet, Allegra choosing a window seat at the back of the aircraft.

I give her her space, choosing an adjacent seat with a table so that I could work on my laptop, keeping her in my line of sight in case she needs me.

The take-off is smooth, and while signs of Allegra's nervousness can be seen by the way she grips the leather seat, it is short-lived. Her face smoothes out, the furrow lines of her brow smoothing as she looks out the window. While she had clearly dressed in a hurry this morning in her attempt to escape Aashiv's house and me, the outfit she wore suited her. She had on a pair of green figure-hugging cargo pants, a loose white button-up top tucked in on one side, and a pair of white Soviet sneakers.

Her long hair has dried naturally, the soft waves cascading down her back and front. The sunglasses perched on her head did a good job of keeping the hair out of her face, her smooth, blemish-free skin on display. She had no makeup on, her rush this morning leaving no time for that. Though based on all the times I had seen her so far, she never wore any anyway. The shadows under her eyes are less prominent than before, probably due to the sleep we got this morning. Her lips are full and pink, reminding me of the way they were wrapped around my cock this morning.

My dick twitches at the thought. I tear my gaze away from her, focusing on the numerous emails that piled up over a couple of days. During the course of the flight, I make sure that the air hostess sees to all Allegra's needs while I wrap up some business with the intention of clearing any pending issues for the next couple of days. I wanted to be fully present when we got to my island.

On more than one occasion, I have looked up to find Allegra staring at me, her attempt to cover up the fact that she has been caught failing miserably as she looks away. She blushes while either looking out the window or fiddling with her phone. At one point, while I am on the phone with Ade about some pending contract amendments, our eyes meet, and I swear I see a tear falling, the sadness on her face unmistakable as she looks away, gently brushing her cheek with the back of her hand. Aashiv's words come back to me, making me wonder if whatever has caused her heartache at Christmas time these last three years is causing her current melancholy state.

My ponderings are short-lived as the air hostess informs us that we will be landing soon. As my island comes into view, Allegra's despondent mood morphs as a huge grin transforms her face, chasing her demons away. Unbeknown to her, at that moment, a challenge is set. And I never backed away from a challenge. I wanted to ensure that the memories we made here could either compete with or overshadow the ones that had just faded. If anyone was going to be remembered on this day, I wanted it to be me.
