Kion and Rani are both cubs living in the Pridelands. They grow as best friends, but Kion wanted to be more than that. Rani admits to Kion that she has a crush on another male, making Kion very jealous. Kion and Rani also run into some other problem...

Kion ran into Ananda and Sahasi's den. "Rani!" He shouted. He saw her sleeping by her mother's chest. Ananda was up.
Kion trotted up to her. "Rani wake up!" He shouted. "Kion let me sleep!" Rani groaned, her eyes still closed. "No way! We have to play today! You promised!" Kion replied. Ananda chuckled.
"Just a few more minutes," Rani groaned. "Last time I let you sleep in for a 'few more minutes', you slept for the whole day!" Kion shouted.
"C'mon Rani. He wants to play," Ananda said. "Alright I'm up," Rani sighed. Kion jumped up with a smile.
Rani stretched with a yawn. "C'mon!" Kion shouted running out. "Wait for me!" Rani replied following him.
"Can we bring Hasani along?" Rani asked. "Sure," Kion smiled. They ran to Hasani's den.
"Hasani! Hasani!" Kion shouted. Hasani walked out of his cave, "What's up Kion," He asked.

(Hasani 5, Hasani means, "Handsome")
"We want you to play with us," Kion replied. "Can't. My dad is taking me on patrol," Hasani replied. "Wow that's lucky," Rani said. "Yeah, catch you guys later!" Hasani walked away.
After a couple hours of tag, they got tired and decided to rest. Rani was cleaning her paws on a rock. Kion went off somewhere. Rani layed down on the rock, and took a quick nap.
Kion eventually came back. "Hi Rani," He smiled. Rani opened her eyes. "Like my mane?" Kion smirked. Rani rolled her eyes.

"Kion, you and me both know that those are leaves," Rani replied. "Fine," Kion shook the leaves off him.
"Besides, you look better with a small mane," Rani tussled his mane. Kion laughed and shook it back up.
"Should we head back?" Rani asked, "It's getting late." "How about we stay up all night! Rebel for once!" Kion suggested with a smile. "No! I can't do that to my mom!" Rani shouted.
"Fine. Be no fun," Kion rolled his eye's. Rani sighed, "Fine." Kion smiled.
"Ok what are we doing," Rani asked. "Hmm how about play fighting?" Kion suggested. "Oo sounds fun!" Rani smiled.
Rani and Kion got into a fighting position. Kion attacked first. He lunged at Rani, and pinned her down. Rani kicked him off with her back paws, and growled. She flew her paw at Kion's face. He fell, but quickly stood back up.
"KION! RANI!" Kion and Rani panicked. "We're busted!" Rani whislered. "Yes, yes you are," Simba stepped out if the bushes.
"C'mon let's go," Simba said. Rani and Kion sighed.
Simba led Rani back to her parents. "Bye Rani!" Kion shouted. "Bye Kion!" Rani replied.
Simba and Kion walked in Priderock. Kion layed next to his mother and fell asleep.
