Kion and Rani are both cubs living in the Pridelands. They grow as best friends, but Kion wanted to be more than that. Rani admits to Kion that she has a crush on another male, making Kion very jealous. Kion and Rani also run into some other problem...
At sunset, Rani walked inside Priderock to get Kion.
"You ready?" Rani asked. "Um no," Kion replied. "At least you were honest," Rani chuckled. She pulled Kion out.
"I don't understand how you like playing these games, or sneaking out," Kion rolled his eye's. "Because it's fun, and it makes me feel free," Rani smiled.
They arrived at the teenage lion hangout. They were all in a circle. Kion saw a stick in the middle of the circle. His fur started to get hot with embarrassment. "Hey don't worry, you'll be fine," Rani patted his back.
Kion and Rani joined the circled. Kion didn't sit next to Rani. He sat across from her.
Kion saw Rani's face get hostile. He followed her gaze and saw Hasani. He growled as well.
A male lion stepped in the circle. Kion recognized him as Tanabi.

(Tanabi 17, Tanabi means, "Coppery" (I think)
"Alright, who wants to go first?" Tanabi asked. Everyone but Kion asked to go. Tanabi looked at Kion. "Prince Kion! How nice of you to join us. Would you like to go first?" Tanabi asked. "Uh no thanks," Kion replied. Tanabi nodded.
"You can go first Willa," Tanabi said. The lionesses stepped out of the circle. Kion was begging that he didn't get picked. Willa spun the stick, and it landed on Aztec. Willa walked over, and kissed him.
The lionesses stepped back into the circle.
Tanabi picked Ido to go next. The males stepped out. Kion sighed with relief. Ido spun the stick, and it landed on Lyria. Ido walked forward. He pinned her down, and kissed her. Lyria pulled him down with a flirty look.
"Alright alright, if you're gonna do that, go somewhere else," Tanabi chuckled. Ido and Lyria walked away.
Tanabi picked Dalia to go next. Dalia spun the stick. It landed on Kion. Kion froze. Dalia walked up to him. Kion didn't want to kiss her. He only loved Rani.
"C'mon Kion," Tanabi said. Kion decided to make it quick. He kissed her for less than a split second, then pulled away.
Tanabi turned to Rani. "Your turn." Rani smiled. She spun the stick. Kion's body tensed as it landed on him, again. This time, he wasn't upset.
Rani looked shocked. She had to kiss her bestfriend, but it was the rules of the game. Rani walked toward Kion.
Rani and Kion kissed. They pulled away after a few seconds. Kion smiled. Rani walked back to her spot.
After a while, everyone went home.
Kion and Rani walked back to Priderock. Rani was to embarrased to talk to Kion, but Kion was ecstatic. He had got to kiss Rani.
They walked up Priderock. "That never happened. And we are still friends, right?" Rani asked. "Yeah," Kion smiled. He licked her cheek. He walked inside Priderock and fell asleep.
Rani stood still. Kion just licked her cheek. "D-Does he think we're mates?" She asked herself in panic.
