We had officially started our road trip to Arizona.
Phil was driving, I was in the passenger seat, and the guys were in the back.
So far, the ride was really quiet. I've felt so exhausted lately, I was going to take this road trip as an opportunity to relax.
However, Alan looked miserable, and we could all tell.
"Hey, Alan, ya hungry?" Phil asked Alan while he drove, "You want some Arby's?"
"No thanks." Alan huffed sadly as he stared out the window longingly.
"Ya know, I meant to tell you earlier, that's a really cool vest you got on." Phil complimented him.
"Yeah, very stylish." I added. We were trying to make Alan feel better, he never acted like this.
"Thanks, guys." He thanked us and we all smiled, "It was my dad's. He died in it." He muttered causing all of our smiles to drop.
"Woah. That's intense." Stu mumbled.
"Soph, I like your shirt." Alan complimented me.
"Oh, thanks, Alan." I smiled at him. I was wearing a black halter top, with a small white cardigan, and jeans.
"Yeah, the top makes your-" He looked over at Doug and then Phil, "Never mind." He mumbled.
I looked at him with a confused look. I wonder what he was gonna say.
"Alan, I just wanna say what you're doing is really brave." Doug smiled at Alan, "I'm proud of you."
"Yeah, you're gonna do great." Stu nodded his head.
Alan pulled himself towards all of us, "Stop the car. I don't wanna do this."
"What?" Phil mumbled.
"I've changed my mind." Alan quickly said.
"Alan, you can't change your mind. Everybody's counting on you." Stu told him.
"Yeah, what are you talking about?" I whipped my head around.
"I- I- I... I'm fine just the way I am. I wanna go home." He stuttered. Phil kept driving and Alan instantly jumped towards the wheel, "Turn the car around!"
"Alan!" Doug and I yelled.
"Turn it-" He grunted. I quickly pushed him away from Phil while Doug and Stu attempted pulling him back.
*BANG* A huge yellow truck rear ended us.
"What the fuck was that?" Phil turned and looked at the truck.
The car then sped up and rear ended us again.
"What the hell?!" I yelled.
"Oh, my god! He's doing it on purpose!" Stu shouted.
"Jesus, get out of his way! Get out of his way!" Doug pointed over to the next lane, and Phil switched over.
Now that we were in the next lane the yellow truck was right by our side.
Phil beeped his horn repeatedly, "Hey! Hey, get the fuck off!" He screamed.
"We have to exchange information!" Stu shouted.
"I don't think that's gonna happen when he's intentionally doing it!" I yelled. Right after I said that the yellow truck rammed into our side causing us to swerve.
"Phil! Watch out, Phil!" My brother pointed at a bunch of yellow barrels in front of us.
"Oh, shit!" Phil screamed. We instantly ran into them and a bunch of water splashed out.
