Jisoo's plan was rather simple but, at the same time, very clever. Lisa thought it perfectly reflected the older girl and gave further proof of the great intelligence that had always distinguished her.
Not that there was any need.
Jisoo had always been the most logical and rational mind among them and, given how events had gone so far, they all agreed to rely completely on her to try and manage the situation they were in. It took the whole evening to refine the plan they had devised but, in the end, they had arrived at the perfect plan. Or at least, that was how it was on paper and in Jisoo's mind.
There was no reason to wait any longer, everything would take place as soon as possible. Everything was ready. They would meet Bonny at the BW Show Records office to discuss the signing of the contract and from there the plan would begin.
Oppa's car would arrive to pick them up shortly and Lisa was finishing getting ready in front of the mirror in the room shared with Jennie.
"...do you hate me?"
Jennie's voice was barely a whisper and Lisa gave the mirror yet another reassuring smile turned towards her who, already dressed and made up, sat on the edge of the bed watching her get ready, whispering to her every five minutes always the same shy question to which Lisa always answered the same way.
"No Nini"
"...are you sure?" asked again with her eyes filled with guilt.
Lisa finished styling her thick blonde hair and crouched down in front of the brunette taking her hand.
"Yes, I'm sure," she told her softly, looking into her eyes. "Now stop asking me the same question though, okay?"
"It's not the same question... I was asking if you were sure..." muttered Jennie lowering her gaze.
Lisa smiled and reached out her other hand to lift her face. Jennie's pouty childlike expression was as sweet as she had ever seen it.
"I'm sure, okay? I don't hate you... not one bit." Jennie nodded slightly, not completely believing her. "You know what I'm feeling right now instead?" she asked, causing Jennie to shake her head slowly. "I feel like I've never loved you so much."
Lisa's words left their mark on Jennie who looked at her in astonishment. She made to say something but stopped, letting Lisa continue.
"Do you know why?" she asked again, waiting for Jennie to shake her head again. "Because I saw how you fought to defend your feelings and with how much strength and determination you tried to take on the world for me. You're a wonderful person, Jennie. Brave, loyal and honest to yourself and to others. For that -and much more- I can't help but admire you."
"But... I've ruined everything..." Jennie's voice was sad. "We can never be together like we dreamed..."
"We will." Lisa replied lovingly, ordering a strand of hair behind her ear. "Right now I'm just so happy to be able to be with you in this room while you look at me and talk to me and ask me the same question a thousand times that I will always answer the same way." Lisa was smiling. "I love you, Jennie. Come what may, remember?"
They looked at each other for a few seconds in silence and Lisa hoped Jennie could feel all the love she was feeling just by having her next to her. The dinners at the restaurant, the horse rides on the beach, the official dates, they could have waited as long as there was that room, that bed and those glistening cat eyes looking at her as if they were witnessing a miracle.
