"Gracie." His voice rang out in the emptiness in my head.

My breath hitched the tiniest bit before regulating again.

I couldn't form a full thought as sleep tugged so heavily at my mind. I couldn't even tell if this was a dream or not.

"Gracie."

A small whimper escapes my lips as a burning starts searing my forearm.

"Where are you?"

I turn over onto my other side, trying to find relief from the burning.

"Gracie, wake up."

Kicking at my sheets, I whine as my legs get tangled and my body goes limp once more, exhausted and unable to move anymore.

"Grayson?"

"Gracie!"

I push my face into the pillow and whimper again.

A gentle hand grasps my shoulder.

"Come to me."

My eyes shoot open and I gasp, jerking away from the hand touching me.

"Grayson!"

I scramble away, backpedaling across the bed until I fall off the other end, spilling out onto the hardwood floor.

"Hey, hey. It's Finn."

A whine pulls out of me as I try to find my hands and feet. My mind was scrambling, and I was still stuck in the half-asleep dream state.

Larkin. Larkin was here. He had been talking to me.

"It's me."

My vision was swimming, but I wasn't looking through my eyes anyways.

I push with my feet until my back hits a wall, and I duck my head, curling my body into a ball and wrapping my arms around my head to protect myself.

"It's Finley."

There was that voice again. It called out to me, calming and gentle.

But Larkin. Larkin was here.

"It's Finley. It's me. You are at my house. You are safe."

My chest was still moving too fast, my head a spinning mess.

"You are safe. I am Finley. I am not going to hurt you."

A sound like scooting reaches my ears and I freeze. Oh goddess. Larkin was here. Larkin was here. Larkin-

A sudden frosty cold wraps around me, knocking the air out of me.

I suck in a shocked breath of air, my empty lungs filling to the brim with pine.

Pine from the top of the highest snow-capped mountain.

Finn.

Oh, Goddess, Finn was here.

Where? I couldn't move. Goddess, he was here and I couldn't fucking move to get to him. I needed him, Goddess where was he? My breathing was already getting too fast again. Larkin was here and going to-

Strong arms pulled me into a warm body and I was immediately engulfed by Finn's pine scent.

Finn.

It was Finn. Frosty and strong and warm and safe.

A shaky breath of relief rattled my whole body as I let it out, and I let myself go limp in his arms, knowing that I was safe now.
