My eyes snap open, and I choke on my next breath. A strangled cry pushes out of my lips as I twist on my side, curling myself in a ball to try and dull the pain.

I kick something with my foot and my head rams into what feels like a wall, but all I can focus on is forcing my next breath of air out through my teeth. Holy fucking hell where was this pain coming from? I couldn't even think it was so blinding.

Hands were on me, and where they touched the pain lessened. I whimper as they move across my skin. My neck throbs with my pulse, sending pain down my body.

The bite. Of fucking course. I meant what I said earlier. I was going to kill Larkin.

A sob wracks my body as a fresh wave of pain stabs from my shoulder.

The hands leave my body and the pain intensifies.

I whine loudly in protest.

In an instant, the hands were back. They moved over my body again, leaving a trail of relief. My mind started to let more in than just the pain.

"Grayson, talk to us." That was Ryker.

"Come on Gray, open your eyes." Finn.

"Grayson girl, breathe." Jagger.

Where was Ares?

I cry out as another wave of pain lurches inside of me. Ow, ow, ow. A thousand ow's.

Forcing my eyes open, the ocean meets me. Where the fuck was I? Something about the blue waves told me I was home.

I blinked, and Finn's face was an inch from mine. "Finn?" I mumble.

He presses his forehead to mine. "Yeah. It's Finn." Finn leans back, and I see how panicked he is for the first time. "Gray, what hurts? What do you need?"

I whine and his eyes wash over with fresh pain. "Bite." I manage. "Touch."

Finn nods. "Our touch helps?"

My eyes squeeze shut on their own accord and I force myself to take another breath of air. Arms wrap around me and gently lift me up, a sob wracks my body. "Shh." Someone cooed.

I'm placed on top of someone's chest, another two bodies pressing against my sides. Their legs are slung over my body, and nearly every inch of me is covered.

Hands rub at my back as the pain goes in and out.

We stay like that, limbs over limbs and pain blurring my world. I have a vague sense of life happening around me, but I can't quite get a grasp on it.

I slip in and out of reality, sometimes feeling the soothing touches, other times only feeling the flames of pain.

When I'm able to open my eyes again, the room is spinning around me. I choke on a sob as tears wash down my face. I whimper and nuzzle my face into Jagger's sandalwood and sage scent. "Jag?" My words are a slur.

"Hey." Jagger croaks out over a rough voice.

A whine pushes its way out of my mouth. "It hurts."

"I know baby." He whispers. "Ares is meeting Logan halfway to get the pain meds that will help. He's almost there. Just another half hour. Okay? You can do it."

Another half hour? How long had I even been like this?

Ryker speaks from beside me. "Two hours." His voice is rough, tired.

"We're right here," Finn says from my other side. "We got you."

I pant on top of Jagger's bare chest, my body shaking from the exhaustion of being in pain. My body was hiking up in temperature, sweat forming along my spine.
