DING! DONG! BING! BONG!
As usual, the 16 new students of the Academy of Gifted Juveniles were woken up by the Monokuma morning announcement. It seemed like a day like any other, but it turned out, this was not the case.
While Monokuma urged the still half-asleep students to always do their best, he added another information at the end.
"Well then, I'll be away on vacation for one week. It's been sooooo long since I last enjoyed the heat of Jabberwock Island, so I'll be taking some time off before midterms. Be sure not to slack off and prepare for the exams! Puhuhuhuhuhu!!!"
With that, the monitors turned black again, and confusion arose among the students. And although there was no authority forcing them to attend their lectures like before, the majority of students from the first year made it to their usual classroom in time, unsure of what to do.
Miu, who'd been forced out of her dorm room by her robot boyfriend, soundly snored on one of the tables in the back of the class, while Kirumi and a few others already planned their study routine for midterms on the blackboard in the front. Ryoma and Rantaro competed in who could boringly stare into a corner of the room better, until Tenko slapped both of their backs in an attempt to get the men motivated. Angie attempted to convince the others that Atua would be a good substitute teacher, but Gonta had difficulties understanding how that'd work. The others, Kaede, Kaito, Maki, Kiyo and Tsumugi just sat on their respective places without saying a word.
As soon as Keebo nestled with the beamer cables to get his mind projected onto the wall, the last missing student entered the class with his usual Nee-hehe.
"You really think, you could lead the class to study for midterms? Besides being a robot with average intelligence, there's nothing special about you, Keeboy. Nee-hehe, move over to let the real leader handle this."
Kokichi gazed around the room, most students watching him with great worry or annoyance in their eyes. Keebo, who initially wanted to protest to the Ultimate Supreme Leader's command, gave up and found his seat as well. The small boy leaned his elbows on the tall teacher's desk, smiling brightly.
"I, the Ultimate Supreme Leader, am the only fitting candidate for this job. Given the fact that I am the best student, even topping our assassin-nerd over there", he said while pointing at Maki. It was true that he aced his courses, but no one seemed to understand how.
"I finished the list", Kirumi broke the silence as she put the piece of chalk back on the teacher's desk, nodding over to Kokichi. "You can start now, Ouma-san, since no one seems to object to you teaching the class."
A little too confident, Kokichi turned around to inspect Kirumi's list of topics, along with an indicator on how many students found the topic difficult. Since she was the Ultimate Maid, she had files over files of information about us, and often helped out Monokuma sort his paperwork. With that, she knew each student's weak topics better than anyone.
"Woaaah, you don't understand this many topics? It's a wonder you were even attending classes", he mumbled as he read through it. "Well then, go ahead and ask your questions. I'll answer eeeeevery little one of them, Nee-hehe!"
Kokichi crossed his arms behind his head and grinned towards his classmates, who all seemed anything but happy with the situation. The first to raise her voice was Miu, after she'd woken up to see Kokichi attempting to be the teacher. "You dare to think that you are smarter than me, Miu Iruma, beauty and inventor of the greatest goods?? It is a fact that I possess not only beauty, but brains as well." She brushed a few hair strands over her shoulder, nearly drowning in self-confidence. Kokichi simply crumpled up a piece of paper and threw it at the Ultimate Inventor.
"I agree that Ouma shouldn't teach us", Tsumugi silently contested. "We know that you're smart, but you also lie to us way too often for us to be able to trust you."
"What would it help if I lied to you? If all of you fail, Monokuma's gonna punish me too, you know", Kokichi countered. The debate continued for a few minutes, until Shuichi got up, gathering his belongings. "I'm done with this shit, I'll study in the library." He attempted to leave the classroom, until a loud bang on a table made him freeze.
The little Supreme Leader had slapped his hands on the teacher's desk, his face full of anger. "You all want me to be nice, so I'm here offering to teach you the stuff you don't get. But in the end, you really don't give a damn, do you?" Shuichi just looked at him with a blank expression. "I don't want to fail my classes because you taught everyone the wrong way. We all know you lie in every sentence at least-" - "NO ONE ASKED FOR YOUR FUCKING OPINION!"
The class went quiet as everyone's eyes fixed on the Ultimate Supreme Leader, his eyes ready to tear up from anger. "What the hell is up with you, Ouma? Where has your carefree attitude gone?", Kaede asked, who'd gotten up after Shuichi and now lurked over behind his shoulder.
"N-Nothing! Sit down, Saihara-chan and Kaediot, I'll start with English." With shaking hands, he grabbed the remote for the beamer and started furiously pressing buttons to get the beamer to turn on. After a few sighs, it finally turned on, displaying the Academy's logo. But then, everything turned black.
"Huh? What's going on?"
"It's a blackout!"
"Geez, what do we do now?"
"Gonta no can see everyone!"
"Fucking Cockichi, can you stop breaking stuff???"
"Ah, hey, what are you-"
"Hey! Stop knocking me over, Saihara!"
"Aaaaaah, what if that was a g-g-g-g-ghost's doing?????"
"Do you wanna die...?"
"Atua wants to show us that we shouldn't study today."
"Atua's soooo right about that."
"S-Stop it...ah..."
"Himiko, don't believe everything Angie says!"
"Please wait a moment, I'll turn on my new flashlight function that Miu installed."
"Oh, yes please! Thanks to Saihara I'll surely get a bruise."
A click echoed throughout the room, and a second later Keebo's eyes illuminated the classroom. And once it did, they discovered something nobody had expected.
Shuichi was pressed on Kaede's desk, his legs wide open and cheeks colored in a dark red shade, with Kokichi laying on top of him, his face hidden on the detective's neck. As soon as he realized who was pushing down on him, he screamed and pushed Kokichi away. "W-What the hell are you doing, Ouma???" The Ultimate Supreme Leader lost his footing, stumbling down on the ground.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! COCKICHI MADE HIS MOVE ON SIMPHARA!" The Ultimate Inventor's laugh filled the whole room with an uncomfortable atmosphere, although some students couldn't help but chuckle as well. Kaito joined Miu, laughing out loud and adding: "I didn't know you wanted to join our bromance, Ouma!"
All sorts of theories were thrown around, but the purple-haired boy didn't utter a single word. Beside him on the ground, Kaede rubbed her calves that were pushed against a chair as Kokichi had stumbled over her to get to Shuichi. "That hurt, Saihara!"
"Oh my, is that a hickey?", Kaito asked and went over to Shuichi, pulling his chin over to one side to inspect his neck. The Ultimate Detective immediately covered his neck with his hand, blushing as that touch made him remember Kokichi's lips on his neck, his tiny hands pushing his shoulders onto the table. He didn't know the Ultimate Supreme Leader had a dominant side. Wait, dominant?
His face color darkened as he gazed over to his locker, where the crumpled up note of his ideal boyfriend remained. But as soon as he did, Kokichi, unable to handle the situation anymore, stormed out of the classroom, his red face hidden behind his checkered scarf.
