Y/n pov:

I woke up, I look to the left of me to see Wednesday still sound asleep in the bed beside me

it was just a dream'

I felt my heart sink, I haven't left this chair for 3 days

"Hey y/n, still hasn't woken up yet?"

I look up to see Xavier walk in, I nod my head in response, I was still disappointed about the dream

"You need to eat something, you haven't left this room for 3 days, it isn't healthy"

I shake my head, I couldn't leave without knowing if Wednesday is okay

"Not until she is okay. I'm not leaving until she is awake"

I sneered, he glances at Wednesday before turning back in my direction and slightly smiles

"At least let me bring you something to eat. I could also stay with you if you'd like while you wait, I think you could use some company"

I hesitated before nodding my head at him, I could use some food and I wouldn't mind some company, he smiles and walks out the door

Soon later Xavier comes back with two trays of food, one of them being loaded with my favorite foods, he pulls up a chair and sits down beside me while handing me my tray

I pick up a food item and gently place it in my mouth, hunger soon hits me, leading me to devour the rest of what's on my tray

"So, what happened in those woods?"

He arches his brow, I could tell he was confused about the situation, I look down thinking of a way to summarize it

"I heard a noise coming from the woods so I decided to check it out in case someone was in danger, I saw Wednesday getting held onto a tree by Rowan so I tackled him and as I went to see if she was okay a monster came out of nowhere and tore him to pieces and here we are"

I felt my heart ache as I told him, Wednesdays face that moment was all I could think of and it hurt

"Oh, well I'm glad nobody died, don't worry y/n, everything will be okay" He then moved closer to me, he was a few inches away from my face, I notice his eyes flickering between my lips, and eyes, he stops

"Y/n, I would like to tell you something I've been meaning to say for a while" I watch as he looks towards Wednesday and back at me, I couldn't help but feel a little bit confused by this, but before he could anything else I hear a rustling coming from the bed

"Wednesday!"

I hurriedly make my way to her side, I couldn't help but feel a wave of relief wash over me, fluttering her eyelashes she gives me a subtle smirk

"Hope I didn't keep you waiting. Death and I were having a very interesting conversation."

The black-haired girl preceded to smile at me, unaware Xavier was there staring daggers at her, I couldn't help but hold her in a tight hug, not willing to let go

"Wednesday, I missed you,"

I said in barely a whisper, I could feel her smirk against my neck, returning the hug even if she didn't like to show physical affection

I felt my heart race during the interaction

"I...I missed you too"

She staggered out, I could tell it was difficult for her to say out loud, as we pulled away I notice she saw Xavier, and immediately her smirk dropped off her face

without a warning she pulled me into another tight embrace which startled me

"Hint taken got it. I'll give you guys some privacy."

He rolled his eyes and made his way to the door before stopping

"Y/n, meet me at my shed?"

He said with slight hesitation, I nodded my head

"Sure"

I give him a warming smile and he returned it as he walked out, I could feel her grip tighten, causing me to yelp

"I apologize."

She sighs and lets go of me while taking a step back

My heart was beating viciously as her hands slid across my arms, As she spoke again my mind regained consciousness

"Y/n, we need to figure out what killed Rowman. I feel like that photo has something to do with it."

She grabbed my wrist and started dragging me out of the doorway

Time skip

After the investigation, Wednesday and I decided to head back to her dorm to discuss how we can prove there is a monster and that Rowan is dead

"I mean, they contacted them but it seems they don't know dead people are notoriously bad at returning calls. How can Rowan be alive we've seen him get torn to pieces."

I watched as she paced around the room, I got up from her bed and stopped her by gripping her shoulder reassuringly

"We'll figure this out Wednesday, I promise."

She put her hand on top of mine, I smiled at her making sure she knows I'm there for her, I let go once I made sure she was calmed down

"You're right. Panicking isn't getting anything done. Thanks, Y/n."

She begins going over to her bulletin board with the suspects, Xavier being one of them, I looked at her confused

"Xavier? I doubt it would be him. He's too cute and skinny, he could barely do a push-up."

She smiled at my last few words

"Still. We must suspect the unsuspecting. That's why I put every person I find suspicious on this bulletin board."

she then points to a photo of principal Weems, It was my turn to chuckle, I look around and notice I wasn't on there

I felt a slight smirk form on my face

"How come I'm not a suspecting person in the questioning?"

I teased her, I loved it when she would start getting flustered at things like this, it truly made by day

"Do you want to be?"

She arched her eyebrow, my heart sank, she looked so serious, I couldn't tell if it was a joke or not, I let out a gentle laugh of awkwardness

"If it means being closer to you, then sign me up."

I felt my heart flutter as she looks at me with a bit of hesitation

"Oh of course."

she smiles
