Y/n's pov:

I was trying to catch up when she suddenly got stopped by the principle

"Wednesday, I just wanted to tell you to not worry about your cello. "

I walked so I would be standing next to the black braided hair girl, I cross my arms

"Her cello?"

I notice her glance towards my direction as she moved a little further from me

"I'll have it brought to the town square this afternoon, I heard your Senerade the other night. "

Wednesday pov:

I looked the other way, not out of embarrassment, but out of cringe

The only reason I played was because I wanted Y/n to hear my music

Since I've known her, I wanted her to be wowed by me, impressed by my skill

"I volunteered you to accompany the Jericho High School marching band at the ceremony."

'Great. I'm gonna be forced to entertain a bunch of imbeciles dressed in ridiculous costumes. '

"I'm sure it won't be too challenging to play an uplifting Fleetwood Mac melody."

I looked next to me to see the h/c girl smiling at me with excitement

I sighed and responded in a deadpan voice

"Sounds like fun. As long as you hang me as a witch afterwards. "

'This better make y/n like me more than Xavier'

Y/n's pov:

After talking around with people, which Wednesday hated, I grabbed her hand and gently walked with her

"Hey, I have to go talk to Enid. I'll be back."

"Oh, okay"

I carefully let go of her hand and smiled at her

As she walked away, I seen Xavier staring at a blank wall and made my way over

"Hey there, Xavier. Why are you staring at a blank wall? "

He let's out a soft laugh without looking down at me

"It wasn't...Nevermind, it doesn't matter. Hey, sorry about earlier, I should've known you were uncomfortable when you tried backing away"

I moved closer to him and in one swift motion hugged him lightly

"It's okay, we were only messing around. "

Moving back, I punched his shoulder and laughed

"But don't underestimate me, I won't go so easy on ya next time. "

We both begin bursting out laughing at the previous action

"Thanks for the heads up, n/n"

Before I could say anything else, I've felt a slight tug on my shirt from behind

I turned around and saw the black haired girl

"Oh, it's Wednesday. I'll see you around n/n."

Xavier than sighed and rolled his eyes while walking away

"We have to get going."

I nod my head and followed along side the raven haired girl

As we started approaching our destination, I felt Wednesday intertwine her hand with mine as if it was casual

Which it kinda was

"Welcome to Pilgrim World! Witch trials every day! Two o'clock, four o'clock! Hey, Woman"

I smiled at the young maiden and bowed my head, the girl next to me just scoffed

The maiden continues

"Good morrow, my young Nevermore kin. I am Mistress Arlene. A real OC. Original colonist. Now prithee, put your cell phones on vibrate and make haste, for you are about to travel back in time to the year of our Lord 1625, to Jericho's first pilgrim settlement. Yonder. Behold, the meeting house. Inside is a collection of artifacts related to Jericho's most beloved and pious founder, Joseph Crackstone. And beyond is our privy, America's first gender-neutral restroom."

I laughed at the last comment the maiden had made, I got a glance from Wednesday

She then raised her hand

"I haveth a query"

I arched a eyebrow

"pray, be quick, child. "

"In the meeting house, which of Joseph Crackstone's artifacts are on display?"

I've understood what she was getting at and nodded my head

"My fair maiden, thy is as curious."

They both take a glance at me a little startled from my statement

"It is truly a treasure trove, including original farm tools, tableware, even the Crackstone family chamber pot"

I looked back at the black haired girl

"Sounds fascinating. Y/n and I volunteer to work in there"

I smile at her as she said my name, she wants me to come with

"Pray, no. That exhibit is being renovated. Today, thou will all be working at the beating heart of Pilgrim World."

'What will we do now?"
