Y/n pov:

"Today, thou will all be working at the beating heart of Pilgrim World."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We stand in front of a building wearing these cute outfits with ears that were given to us by the lady, holding fudge trays with samples
Wednesday doesn't seem too pleased with the situation
""Ye Olde Fudgery?" More like ye olde diabetes in a box."
The raven haired girl just looked at the people walking by with no emotion
I happily pass out the fudge while Wednesday speaks German, which I don't understand
(A/N- I'll translate it for you)
"Enjoy your 'authentic' pilgrim fudge made with cacao beans procured by the oppressed indigenous people of the Amazon. All proceeds go to uphold this pathetic whitewashing of American history. Also, fudge wasn't invented for another 258 years. Any takers?"
I look at her in disbelief
"I didn't know you could speak different languages other then Spanish?"
She glances towards me from the corner of her eye while smiling a bit
"There is lots you don't know but you will eventually, you'll know all my talents."
The black hair girl looks around for a few minutes before grabbing my hand
"Like leaving, We need to go, we have to find that book."
I clinch my hand as she holds it and smile at her, I wish I could always hold her hand like this
As we got closer we notice Eugene getting bullied by the three goofy goobers, or the pilgrims, same difference
Wednesday spoke up
"Howdy, Pilgrims. Let him go."
She unlatched her hand from mine and got closer to the three losers in front of us
"Do you and your little girlfriend also want to end up in the stocks?"
She widens are eyes and tilts her head slightly
"Remember what happened last time we did this little dance?"
I smile at how quick she was to defend Eugene and I, she smirked
"Get her!"
Without any effort she broke his nose then his arm and put him in the stock while locking it
I look at the other two boys who were dumbfounded
"Are you two still here?"
Wednesday turned their direction and smiled which immediately scared them off
We begin to make our way towards Eugene who was in shock
"I never had anyone stuck up for me before."
The black haired girl replied unexpectedly
"You said hummers stick together."
I looked down with a wide smile before she spoke up again
"Y/n, follow me."
I made my way to her side as we walked to the museum of Crackstone
"I need to know more about him and that book."
I chuckle
"So we have a date? To break into the meeting house? Sounds fun"
The raven-haired girl widens her eyes and looks towards me
"If you wanna call it that, sure."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(We arrived at the meeting house)

As we got there, I looked around

"I'll keep watch outside, that way I can signal you in case Mistress Arlene decides to appear."

I stopped in front of the door as Wednesday walked in, but, got pulled through

"Then it wouldn't be much of a date, now would it?"

She response in a deadpan voice with wide eyes that are darker then black

I smile

"No, it wouldn't, I didn't even think you wanted it to be one."

She rolled her eyes in a annoyed manner as if she was irritated by something

'What's her problem?'

"Look, it's the book."

She then starts picking it up and flipping through it, but immediately puts it back down

"It's a fake. This isn't the book. I don't know who Etsy is but I doubt she was a outcast settler."

I laugh at the statement she had just said

"What's so funny?"

I couldn't help but grin

"Etsy is a website where you can buy things other people are selling."

"I have no idea what you're talking about. That sounds ludicrous, who would be stupid enough to trust someone's word."

I shrug my shoulders unsure of how to answer the question

"Y/n, this might be an unexpected questions, may I asked it?"

'Um, this is new.'

"Sure, ask away, Wednesday"

She looks at me for a seconded but before she could ask, the door opened

"Just what the fudge are you guys doing in here?"

The black-haired girl looked back at her

"Mistress Arlene. How now?"

"How now, indeed. I proclaimed the meeting house is under repair, I know thoust heard me."

I tried helping by responding

"Yes, and this display case was already opened."

Wednesday added

"The book is a replica."

"The original was stolen last month during the two o'clock witch trial."

We both nod

"I'm also reassigning you both. To fudge-churning duty."

'Oh, great.'
