Y/n pov:

"Rowan! We need to talk." I watched as the black-haired girl make her way to the boy she just addressed

"Wednesday, I'm not allowed to speak to anyone."

"You had a lot to say when you tried to kill me."

She stopped in front of him, with me just a few inches next to her

he then continued to pick up his suitcase and throw it in the vehicle next to him, Wednesday continued to speak

"Told me I was destined to destroy the school, remember? Where did you get that drawing?"

"I just went into the woods to clear my head. Then you came after me."

I looked to the left of me, where I see Ms. Thornhill make her way toward us

"Wednesday. Y/n. You shouldn't be here."

"Yeah, back off and leave me alone." Rowan gives us both a look as if he's trying to prove a point

I roll my eyes and watch as Thing grips the bottom of the car, I smile at this

I stare at Wednesday as she lectures the hand in front of her, although, it looks like she was arguing with a carnivorous plant, Bianca comes into the room

"I see you finally made a friend. Even if it is a plant, I can't deny that it isn't a step up from Y/n."

She laughed while scanning me up and down, I would be lying if I said I didn't feel insecure at this moment

"I go for quality over quantity and you're right, it is a step up."

"Oh, ouch." I heard Bianca say in an insincere tone

My heart felt as if it shattered into a million pieces and then got caught on fire, therefore creating smoke and making its way into my lungs to stop me from breathing

I could feel tears forming in my eyes, Ignoring this God-forsaken feeling of betrayal, I make my way back to my seat, not staying to hear another word from Wednesday

I sat behind Xavier because I didn't like sitting up front, I felt there was a bigger chance of getting called on

"You okay Y/n? What happened?"

I shake my head and bury my face into my arms that are resting on the desk

I hear footsteps coming in my direction, I slightly move my head up to see the black-haired raven sitting next to him

I sigh and close my eyes as I blocked out the chatter in the classroom, that was until I got called on

"Y/n. What do you call this beauty?"

It was a plant that was shaped funnily, on the outside, it was green and slowly turned into a light white

I begin to open my mouth to answer the simple question but got interrupted

"Dendrophylax lindenii. Otherwise known as the ghost orchid. First discovered on the Isle of Wight in 1854."

Sighing in annoyance, I glance in the direction of the goth girl who looked proud and confident in herself

It was impressive she knew that and more but I wasn't gonna let her know that

"I didn't know your name was Y/n or did you just want to use it as an excuse to answer the question and get some attention?"

I glared at the girl as her presentation faltered, the class then begin to fill with whispers

I wasn't gonna let myself get walked on, I had more dignity than that

I could tell she was shocked by my sudden bitterness, it was a subtle look on her face that only I could identify

"I was only trying to help."

"Help who? Yourself? If I needed your help I would've asked for it but saying you don't care about anyone's feelings or thoughts, you just did it without putting anything into it."

I push myself out of my desk and made my way out of the classroom, I knew Ms. Thornhill would understand

(A/N- Can I just say, ouch? Lol, you are livid about Wednesday calling a plant better than you. It must hurt, but surely she doesn't mean it like that, right?)
