Since it is now February, Black History Month, I thought I would draw an African goddess cuz I realize I haven't done any yet, and African mythology is quite underrated :D

This is Oshun, the goddess of love, water, sensuality, and fertility in Yoruba (West Africa) mythology. She's one of the most popular/well known Orishas (deities) in Yoruba mythology. She's the protective deity of the Oshun river and associated with rivers in general. She's a creation deity as well, one of the 17 gods sent by Olodumare (the central, all-ruling god) to create the world.

Also the background is an authentic traditional African quilt pattern I saw at a museum once lol, just thought that'd be interesting to mention :D
